In the middle of the chaos of PCSing from WPAFB life has been a bit more stressful than our typical…read morePCS crazy. One of those things has been tooth pain and finding out I needed to have a root canal before leaving. I was referred to Uzzel Dental Group by a friend and they were able to schedule to see me within two weeks. Dr. Uzzel is the most gentle, kind, and exceptionally talented Dentist I have ever been treated by. He and his staff have been clear with all that is going on and how they would treat it. Dr. Kristy Bultema at Beavercreek Endodontics who he referred to perform my root canal itself was warm and comforting (even after having some not so fun side effects from the numbing agent) and did an amazing job. Then to top it all off due to some PCSing gymnastics I had to wait at Dr. Uzzel's office for a couple of hours after walking across the street from having my root canal done to put the permanent crown on and his staff has been absolutely amazing. (To reiterate the wait was not their fault it was due to PCSing fun. If anything it was a huge favor to squeeze me in before our out processing date.) His staff has taken care of me all morning. Treating me like family. Even giving me snacks and making sure I have been comfortable. Additionally, I had a beautiful connection with a fellow patient that was extremely encouraging. I would recommend Uzzel Dental Group and Beavercreek Endodontics to anyone looking for dental care in the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base area. Especially for those of you that might have aversions to going to the dentist.

Had an infection which nothing was done was in excruciating pain! Thank god he didn't pull it! Next day put on antibiotics by my real dentist thankfully. Regardless what the xray showed he looked in my mouth for maybe 10 seconds! Spent more time in the office discussing my plan! That would have been roughly 3700 for pulling 8 teeth and dentures for bottom teeth! Where was their 499.00 deal buyer beware! Never ever again! Sticking with my real dentist, this was an emergency as explained on the phone when appointment was made! Read better business bureau and reviews online. Not going to save anything by going here period! That was my fault lesson learned the hard way. Thank you Rahn Dental you all rock once again, a huge shout out to them getting me through this mess! Definitely feeling blessed!

It's disappointing because the dental hygienist that left wasn't even my dental hygienist and they rescheduled me. Anyway, I would recommend this branch for a cleaning but not sure for anything else. I recommended Aspen Beavercreek to a friend whose tooth got chipped. After it was filled etc, she said it chipped again the next day. It was kind of a embarrassment to refer them only to have my friend have a terrible experience. She was really shy and didn't come back so she paid hundreds of dollars and still has a chipped tooth. I did try to call them on her behalf but they didnt do anything.

All of the hygienists are very friendly and competent, but I personally use Kristin Zawodniak and Pam Poppe. The practice has just added a new dentist, Dr. Nagy, who also seems to be very good. I recently needed a replacement filling and he performed the work quickly and painlessly. I've referred several people to this practice and I highly recommend it.

They explained the costs, which would be between $2000 and $3000 if I decided to continue treatment. I did schedule a second visit two weeks out, but called the office the following day to cancel, because of the expense. I visited two other dental offices that deal with TMJD; neither charged for the consultation, one even did a complete set of X rays. A couple months later I received a bill for $540 for the X-rays which were taken at the initial consultation. I had never been told that the X-rays would be a charge beyond the $180 fee. Numerous calls and letters to the office fell on unsympathetic ears. Other dentists have told me that their bills for X-rays never exceed $50. I feel this charge is unfair, was unexplained and is exorbitant and now Mitakides threatens to damage my credit history.
