I responded that you can't predict a person's reaction that's why you should be kind to ALL. Did you think I would sit in your business and feel uncomfortable, rushed and unwanted? Yes, I've only been there 6 times in 1 Year (thanks for looking that up) and I've never felt an overwhelming sense of peace or warmth in your space. Like most women, I look forward to my time in a beauty salon and when I can share it with my daughter it's even more special. Your behavior ruined that experience. Mind you, this is all because you failed to evaluate a situation before addressing the customer. You made the customer the problem and that's a problem. If a shampoo area was crowded by 5 people, but meant to accommodate 6 then that's a problem that requires your attention. If you ask a customer whose been in your salon for 90 seconds to move out the way then that's a problem. Reading your review, I still don't think you understand that this was unnecessary and ridiculous on your part. I reacted by taking my business elsewhere and sharing my experience. It's not about the 6 visits. It's about the repeat visits over the years that will never happen. Melissa- The beauty salon is about more than creating outward beauty. I arrived on a Saturday morning at 9:15am to be a 'walk-in' and only had to wait about 30-min to be seen. They are super friendly and I was greeted by the owner, I felt like I was heard during my consultation with my hair journey. My only thing is that when it was time to pay (they take card or cash) is that my price was double then what I expected. I think there was some miscommunication when it came to the holiday special and I believe I was uncharged on some services I wasn't aware of the price (steam treatment) unlike the $15 for a trim. That is my ONLY issue when I spent $145 (silk press, steam treatment, & hair trim) and also I spent 4-hours in the shop. Arriving at 9:15am and leaving at 1:20pm which seemed a pinch long even for a walk-in, but it was only 2 stylists and a shampoo girl working. I might come back as I do like supporting black owned locations, but now I know to save accordingly beforehand if I do. They offer a lot of services from locs, braids, natural, etc.
