I contacted Arizona Soccer Skills Academy because my son was begging me for private soccer lessons…read moreover the summer. I spoke with Coach Rizzo on several occasions about it, and he kept trying to push us to the summer camp group sessions, which I made clear I did not want. Eventually, Coach Rizzo agreed to private lessons, and I registered and paid the $414 for 6 weekly lessons. After the first lesson, Coach Rizzo suggested we join the group sessions, which I took to mean in addition to the private lessons. Yesterday, we showed up for lesson #2, and Coach Rizzo was not there. When I texted him, he said he transferred us to the group sessions in lieu of private lessons, and when I objected and requested a refund, he said they don't issue refunds. So, it was a bait and switch, and I'm out hundreds of dollars. Their website says they offer private soccer lessons, but only if your child is good enough, apparently, yet they will gladly take your money and provide nothing in return. It should be noted we did attend a trail group session before registering AND PAYING FOR private lessons and then a group session after the first private lessons. We were less than impressed. The teenage coaches kept the kids in a tiny practice space, no even large enough to run in, and did extremely basic drills. (My son is 13 and has been playing recreational soccer for years.) My son was bored and not at all challenged. I do not recommend this organization.

Kids are grouped by skill level to practice drills & scrimmage with others. I really like the practice times/locations (Cooley middle school & Power Ranch) and the coaches (James runs the show but has many assistant coaches working with small groups). My kids understand the game now & have improved as athletes. We've referred a few friends. Great set up all around!

It has large fields with fun backdrops, an indoor restaurant with seats by the window so you can enjoy the game with air conditioning on those hot AZ days, and indoor bathrooms! They also serve beer, including a couple of craft beers on draft. That was exciting to me because I've never been able to drink a beer while watching a girls' softball tournament. I got a hazy IPA from Four Peaks, along with chicken tenders and fries. The chicken was good. Fries were lightly battered, which is not my preference, but they were still pretty good. Finished my food inside, but went back out to the stadium seats because you can't hear the game from inside, so it wasn't as exciting to watch. Notes: -For any tournaments hosted by outside organizations (not the town of Gilbert), there is a $5 fee at the gate for non-Gilbert residents age 16 and over. They do ask to see ID. -Online it says no food or drink allowed, except for water.

Entrance is free for Gilbert Residents. The stadium seats are nice so we didnt need to bring our…read moreown chairs. There is shade, a playground for kids, and a Sports bar (2 total) with hamburgers, hotdogs, pretzels, nachos, and pizza. There was plenty of parking as well. One of my favorite places to go watch baseball and softball games. Note: The place could use some maintenance as the backdrops for some of the fields have faded and the scoreboards didny work. However, it is still a nice place overall!

This is by far the worst league in the East Valley. Do not waste your time or money…read more My son was extremely disappointed with our experience. When a team was left without a coach, his dad stepped up to help. Instead of support, both Melanie and Coach Carson were rude and unprofessional in how they handled the situation. To make matters worse, our team had only four boys show up and they played their hearts out against a team of nine players who were able to rotate in and out. There was no effort from the league to balance the teams or offer support by lending players to make the game fair. The lack of organization and sportsmanship was very disappointing. Parents, please think carefully before signing up. Our kids deserve better support, leadership, and sportsmanship. I highly recommend North Zone out of Chandler instead.

Wow! What a nice soccer facility! Looks like there is going to be 8 full size soccer fields that…read morecan be split into 2 fields for younger ages. This is a new facility and still in construction phase. The parking lot is big and appears to hold enough vehicles for all fields attendants. A new concession stand and restroom facility are close to being operational but they have plenty of food vendors and porta-potty's for now. The fields are very nice and the grass is established. A nicely paved path splits the fields and has light poles for night games. 4 of the fields have lights in place and I'm guessing the other 4 will in the future. There is no shade structures or bleachers so bring your pop up tents and lawn chairs. But plenty of seating area for parents and fans at every field. Overall a really nice, new facility dedicated just to soccer youth.

I'm not one to usually write a review about sporting stores, I usually just review places I eat at…read more I would, however, like to write a very nice experience I had today around 12:30 - 1 PM ish when I had to find a new mug/tumbler to bring to my Krav Maga classes. There was quite a selection, and I was looking for a specific design so I looked for an employee who went through a lengthy process on the hunt for the tumbler I picked out. I unfortunately do not remember his name, but he had blonde hair I believe and was fairly tall compared to me lol. I have OCD, so I analyze every detail when I buy something. Or just everything in general. After he had recommended the Yeti Rambler and a few others, I ultimately decided on that one. This was when the probably most odd adventure at Dick's began of finding the tumbler color I liked that had the least amount of markings, dings, imperfections, etc. There were quite a few of that specific tumbler color, & it took a decent amount of time to finally decide on one. After pulling out every color of that size of mug I decided on, I narrowed it down to a few, but was still struggling due to some very minor markings I saw. I had asked for his help more than a few times to see if he could spot any markings on them and he crouched onto the floor with me, looking at them and pointing out what appeared to be the best option while I rotated the tumbler to look at it with the lighting at certain angles. Not only did this employee take the time and patience to help me, but went as far as getting me a wet and dry paper towel to see if a tiny dot of a smudge would wipe off -spoiler: it did indeed come off- but I really sincerely appreciate how understanding he was about the situation and how far he went to help me. I'd imagine a majority of people on this planet would go mad trying to help someone pick a tumbler for over an hour, but there was no judgment on his part and was very kind. I also left with an awesome tumbler thanks to him, and slightly embarrassed/guilty for the probably agonizing experience he had to go through lol, but still was very kind throughout all of it. Here is the "the chosen one" I have happily brought home!
