It was later in the day but our late arrival did not stop Steve and his wife from allowing us to browse undisturbed. They kindly sought out several project boards from the back room that had not been on display yet. We purchased three beautiful slab boards and some other items, among them a very hard to find replacement lever for my Jointer. I was surprised how little it cost and was very impressed with the variety of other wood products, tools, abrasives and cabinet hardware. Too much to list. I would surely have bought more if it wasn't so after closing time. We intend to go back every time we pass through Embro and can only hope this gem stays around longer. Carlo & Lori from Hamilton.

Sounds like someone is a troll. My story - our RV kitchen sink separated from the counter. Staying at camp Chautauqua the big boxes are nowhere near. 4 miles to the store, ample free parking on the street, located across from a regional market, right on the main route through town. Oh, and a fantastic view of Lake Chautauqua from the sidewalk in front of the store. I was immediately greeted warmly, given an offer of assistance which I gratefully accepted, and was led to the area where we were hoping what I would need in order to repair or sink mount. Not finding an exact part, and being sort of a willing handy guy, I looked for something I could modify to fit my small repair. While looking the first clerk asked the manager to help me. No one tried to rush me, neither scoffed at my predicament, and both made thoughtful suggestions. Ultimately we sketched out how the repair might be made, I picked some parts that I thought could work, and began the checkout. The stopped, said he had an idea, showed me some parts for a screen door that I had not seen earlier, and it was obvious that this might work. I took everything. I had taken a good half hour in the store, never treated other than with friendly courteousness, and all for a whopping checkout price of $15. This store has people working there who believe every customer deserves to be treated like their best customer. Don't be fooled by that crabby review. You do need to decide for yourself by going to this hardware store.
