Jeannette greeted me as she has on previous visits but she also acknowledges my mother. Being friendly goes a long way because there are other options but having a great experience generally steers me to a store despite higher prices. I've visited over 100 times in the past 2 years and greatly emphasize that both Jeannette and Christine are the most courteous.

Huge eye roll moment for me. First of all, the big ass sign out front has the Target logo and its name *above* the *separate* El Super sign. Second, and most obviously, they are separate stores. We still joke about it almost every time we drive by. This is one of very few Hispanic grocery stores I had never been to in the area until recently (8/1/19) - and they're headquarted in Paramount, CA which is just up the road from me. It's not bad. It wasn't my favorite either, though. They have everything you might need for a stop and go. Their produce is mostly good, but you're warned: it stays crowded in this section. However, I believe the butcher and the employees at the meat counter just don't care. I came in last weekend 10/3/2026 to purchase some of their flap meat that my wife wanted from here. I have to say it just keeps getting worse every time and seems to consistently decline in quality and value. And the butcher at this location just does not care. I specifically asked the employee at the counter to not give me so many pieces with fat, silver skin, cartilage, etc. He proceeded to appear to be selecting what he was placing in my bag. Once I got home, and began to prepare the carne asada, lo and behold, he seemed to have given me all the worse scraps. With guests on the way, i did not feel like it or have time to go back and toss this garbage at them. So I went ahead and had to clean it all up myself. I ended up tossing almost 1 lb of fat, cartilage, and silver skin into the garbage. How hard is it to do better stater bros? It seems like these butchers at this location just don't care. Why pass on this garbage to the customers. Do better stater bros. Last time for me at this stater bros meat counter. I will have to drive farther out to a different store.
