I went back into his shop on Monday and he explained what the coins were worth (at market rate). He was also very upfront and transparent on his fees (which ended up being around 10%). Everything seemed reasonable so I proceeded forward. He wrote me a check and kept the silver and the transaction was complete. It couldn't have been any easier. Cynthia, Bridget, Tom, Marjorie and team provided a wonderful overview of the auction process as I was an auction newbie at that point and did not understand how it worked as in my mind from movies, etc it was always in person. The process is super easy to learn and the items in the auction were so gorgeous - I ended up buying some chairs and participating in my first auction following the experience. The lady informed me that they was staying away from the "modern" collections. Only problem is most of these decanters are from 1980 and before. Quite a few very rare and expensive collectors items from the member only jim beam club. I had a professional appraiser tell me that the collection would sell between 10 and 25k dollars at an auction. If you have anything that you want auctioned off i would advise you to go to Kikos auction house. the lack of knowledge from this place is astounding.

Don't get me wrong, they waste a lot of space on that stuff. But if you just want to kill a couple hours looking at random tools or knickknacks, this is the place for you. Also, of the Restores I have been to, this has by far the best/largest selection of wood. Prices are also crazy good and they run sales all the time.
