No one likes to see their check engine light come on, especially when you only have the one…read morevehicle. In the past, I have taken my car to the dealership (over 100 miles away). No more! Our friends recommended Anthony at RMV. I called and he said to bring my car in and he would run a diagnostic. We took it in the next day and a mechanic plugged in the machine, got the results, and we went inside to talk to Anthony. The problem was a valve had gone bad in the emissions system. He took my car into the back and found the exact problem. He told me it was okay to drive until my appointment to fix it, four days away. I asked if I needed to rent a car, but he said if I didn't mind waiting, it would only take about an hour. This service was no charge. We pulled up at our appointment time and walked in. Side note: an elderly gentleman asked if I was getting my car fixed here and when I replied yes, he told me that I had made a great decision because RMV was the best. And yes, they are! We settled in on their comfy couch as our car was immediately brought to the back. The shop is very well laid out, clean and comfortable. My only minuscule complaint is I wish they had a coffee pot brewing for waiting customers. Within the hour, my car was completely repaired. We had received an estimate when we first brought it in, which I found fair and affordable. Just a little hiccup...they charge a fee if you use credit or debit cards. Luckily, we had the cash. This was undoubtedly the best experience I have ever had in a repair shop. There was no stress, Anthony and the mechanics were polite and know their stuff. They did NOT talk down to me because I am a woman. Wish I could have given them 100 stars. Highly recommend. Thank you, Anthony and RMV. Hopefully, we won't have any more car problems, but if we do, we will only allow you and your shop to take care of us. We can't thank you enough!

If I could I'd give this place negative stars. I bought a…read morefull case of oil (5/30) & a full case of ATF, these bastards charged me by the bottle instead of case price. The extremely fat guy behind the counter also wanted to argue about an oil filter, tried to sell me a Napa 1515 which is a 1 qt "fat" filter for my toyota, yes it fits "sort of" but it's a mother to get in & out, he claimed that his Nissan takes the same filter AND came from the factory with that filter, which is bullshit, the factories use Japanese filters that have been branded with the manufacturers logo, this fat bastard has never worked on a vehicle in his life, he damn sure has never been under one on a creeper. Sandpoint Napa not only has idiots but liars & crooks as employees.

When I couldn't find where to hook it up, he aggressively took the code reader away from me and did what he should have done in the first place and hooked it up. He took the reading and said it was my gas cap. Because it was barely raining, he refused to erase the code, rudely muttered something I couldn't understand, turned away from me and walked inside. He was completely unprofessional. I don't know his name but he has a grim reaper tattoo on his forearm. For 30 years Napa auto has been my go to because of their professionslism and quality parts but from this point on, I will avoid Sandpoint Napa at all costs and drive the distance to Priest River or Bonners Ferry.
