John and his team at Northwest Insurance Group provided me with 31 years of excellent service. I just sold my home in West Seattle and now living outside of the State of Washington. I highly recommend Northwest Insurance Group. They are competent, efficient, honest, and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks for all the years of quality service, John! read more

Natalie has been my insurance agent for the last 5 years and has been super responsive and helpful all the time. I really appreciate the quick response and turn around time on my requests. I have been insuring my car for the last 5 years and my house for the last 1 year and will continue to do so. Thanks for being my insurance agent. read more

I have an old 4x4 truck which has several expensive repairs on the horizon. Mom (age 90) is struggling to get in. Gas prices are sky high, so I'm looking for a low gas mileage older vehicle with less than 100,000 miles. I gave John a list of 4 vehicles I am considering PLUS some variables around towing my trailer. He gave me the insurance rate lesson I asked for, explaining how different variables would affect my insurance coverage and rates, i.e., salvage title (which limits the coverage I can get) and the vehicle's "symbol rating" (which encompasses the value, gross vehicle weight, and crash tests data). He also confirmed that my insurance rate is also influenced by my annual miles and how I use my vehicle. He saved me money and time up front! Super helpful. read more

Northwest Insurance Group is exactly the kind of insurance agency you want. John and Ruth have provided me great service over the past few years - quickly processing things when needed when buying a home, making sure I'm getting the best prices and coverage when my policies are up for renewal, and providing expertise as I have new needs or questions. Friendly, responsive and knowledgeable! read more

John at Northwest Insurance Group is like night and day compared to my old insurance people. My old insurance very much made me feel like a number. Here your treated like a human being with individual needs. John is forthright with info, happy to answer questions, and enthusiastic about helping. I only wish all business people I dealt with had his attitude. read more

I actually tracked Tracy Lake down from her former employer; she came highly recommended from my friend, and after going over options and chatting with her for upwards of an hour, it was obvious why. She very clearly explained some of the options I was unsure about, and explained some of the differences between the various options. With her help, I got a GREAT quote with options that I honestly thought were way out of my price range based on the various online quotes I had done. Plus, Tracy herself is great! I am looking forward to having coffee with her, because that's the kind of person that she is--she is genuinely friendly. I feel like most of our phone call was spent just chatting like old friends--despite having just met her. She did a great job intermingling the personal discussion with the professional, and I am definitely looking forward to future interactions with her. I was originally going to just go through an online site directly, like Progressive or Geico, but I am EXTREMELY grateful that I found Tracy and was able to get my policy through her. I have the absolute utmost trust in the fact that she would do anything possible in the unlikely case that I was in an emergency situation. Highly recommended, and she is definitely the person to go to if you want a level of service that is all but extinct in today's modern age! Update: Got signed Christmas card from her (and the group), really awesome touch in today's world. read more

I was in the market for insurance quotes and happy to have found NW Insurance Group. John was very responsive to my emails and needs, including finding me more savings with the same coverage as with my previous provider. Responsiveness to insurance needs is especially important to me, because life changes you need to make sure you're protected and covered. I'd recommend to anyone in the market shopping for insurance quotes to reach out to NW Insurance Group because they represent several providers and may be able to find you the right provider and potentially some savings. read more

Northwest Insurance Group is two things - Great Great Service & Great Prices. I just converted another policy from All-State to them after All-State rewarded me for 10 years of perfect payments and no claims with a 20% increase. Seriously these folks run the business with old school value added services and I'm still getting better prices when compared to others. Best of all I get to speak to a live person and if I want I can stop by the office. Call me crazy, but this is a lot better than calling a 1-800 Number and speaking to someone that is in another country. Bravo guys keep up the good work... read more

We switched our insurance to NW after paying way too much for commercial auto insurance for years. Heather Hanson got us multiple quotes and explained options within hours of the request. We are saving thousands of dollars a year because of the switch to NW. Top notch customer service does not even do Heather justice. She responds quickly and remedies any questions or concerns lightning fast, odd hours and weekends included. I typically do not even need or expect to get things done as quickly as she does, but its definitely GREAT! I highly, highly, highly recommend NW insurance for your business insurance needs. Thank you so much! read more

Northwest Insurance Group is the best! I have consistently been happy with their service for more than ten years and we've done everything from insuring multiple houses to filing a claim on lost jewelry. They are the best and I've even emailed John with a question before and he forwarded it over to someone who could answer even when his out of office reply came back saying he was on vacation! Seriously John you don't need to that! But it really shows your commitment to your customers! read more

Our company is growing and Northwest Insurance Group has been there for us every step of the way. Heather Hanson is kind, helpful and very knowledgeable. She patiently held our hands through our growing pains and anticipated our needs, addressing issues before we even knew we had them (sending us paperwork she knew our landlords would ask for etc.) Anytime anything comes up she helps us attack it head on with lightning fast response. There can be so many bumps in the road and sometimes I feel like we've hit every one of them, but we've been blessed to have Heather Hanson on our side the whole time. Oliver L. Campos Crew Chief S. Not sure what the deal is with these guys, but they have just about the best customer service of any company I've ever dealt with. Answer the phones immediately, totally quick, totally helpful. I've moved three times in the last year (don't ask) and talking to them is always by far the easiest part of the move. Amazing group. read more

Attempted to get insurance quote. The agent asked many questions, including who our current insurance provider was, which I declined to reveal. The agent said they would get back to me with a rate. Another agent, the Seattle branch manager, called me back with some "follow-up questions." These included who our current provider was, which I again declined to provide. The agent then said "we are spinning wheels here" and that they would "close my file." I was surprised, and simply asked for an insurance quote as I would very much like to use them for insurance. The agent again asked our current insurance provider, which I again declined, and they repeated that we were spinning wheels and they would close the file. I asked in specific words "So let me be clear: you will not quote me insurance here today because I am not willing to reveal my current insurance provider, out of concern for ethical business practices?" The head of the local office then said "I'm closing your file" and hung up. Not the type of company I would do business with. read more

This was my first experience working with an insurance broker, rather than an agent who represented a single carrier. It was really helpful to work with someone who could assess my needs and recommend multiple carriers he felt were the best matches. At the outset, John sent me a spreadsheet with a set of coverages and costs for each of two companies he represented (and that he thought would best meet my needs) and added a column for the companies that were currently insuring me, so we could work together on comparisons between what I already had and what I could get through him. I like to communicate by email, so we engaged in a LONG series of emails, tweaking the coverages for each of his companies so they matched what was being covered by my existing policies, and I could get a valid price comparison. John's flexibility in using my preferred communication method was a big plus. (One of my existing insurance carriers completely refused to engage in email exchanges of this sort. Everything had to be done by phone.) Even more important was his patience in dealing with my continual questions, despite my difficulty in understanding the nuances of insurance. He is just a really pleasant person to work with. Finally, I got email responses back from him almost immediately, so there were no long lag times between my questions and his answers. It was altogether a great experience. I recommend this company -- and John -- very highly. read more

It really doesn't get better than NW Insurance Group. I had no idea an insurance agent group can be this good. I've come across many types of agents and I've almost lost faith in the insurance industry in general, until I found NW Insurance. These folks actually work WITH and FOR you. Extremely professional, responsive, and consistent. I have 2 policies with them -- commercial vehicle and general liability. They're knowledgeable in the nitty gritty details of insurance nuances to help find a policy that's the best fit for your needs, without the extras you don't need. Every time I've inquired something, I would get a response the same day. These folks make insurance so simple and easy. I never have to worry about insurance because I know i can rely on them, which leaves me worry-free to concentrate on business and other things in life. THIS is how insurance is supposed to be. Top notch. read more

I've been a business client for about 3 years, mostly working with Heather. They are really on it - super helpful with questions, extremely quick and responsive when I've needed proof of liability insurance ahead of big projects, and more than willing to explain the finer details of insurance policies that can get confusing unless you're in the industry. I'm extremely confident in recommending this group. They really stand out and go way beyond what I've experienced in the past. read more

These guys are the BEST. I needed some critical documentation to get my permit application submitted and called John at the very last minute (of course) before I had to leave for the DOT and poof! Like magic, he was able to take care of me immediately. So very helpful. I don't get a day off during the week very often, and if I hadn't been able to get the info when I needed it today i- it would have put me out another two weeks at least. I want to commend Ruth Sarvis at the Northwest Insurance Group. I recently had my homeowner's policy cancelled by PEMCO (in spite of their media hype, they are NOT a lot like you), and I was casting around for a competent and honorable insurance broker. We had a lot of things we needed to think through while we were making decisions for the property that we were in the process of purchasing. Ruth was right there with us the whole way -- checking in with us, answering questions, running estimates for different scenarios, and making sure that we were getting the coverage that we needed. Our case wasn't the easiest, but it was great to not have to stress out over insurance. read more

John is extremely detail-oriented and very on top of it. Like another review said, like night and day compared to other agents I've dealt with. I was amazed at the quick response I received after sending an email inquiry about changing agents to Northwest Insurance Group. John at NW was able to quote some additional rates I was looking for over the phone and I am now working with Northwest Insurance Group.
