Each session was 60-90 minutes and I went every six weeks (maybe even more frequently). It hurt quite a bit but she was nice and I kept making appointments. At first she kept saying how she didn't understand why my hair was being so stubborn and then she started saying she could see a lot of progress. I remember one day in particular when I walked out another woman was waiting to go in and asked me if I felt like the treatments were working because she didn't feel it was working for her. All I could say was "well it seems in making progress" even though I shared her doubt as well. I can't say whether Barbara was lying or not but it doesn't really matter because it didn't work...AT ALL. Within a few months all hair had grown back and I still have to shave my face every single day. It doesn't matter what age you are, but with me being in my mid-20s (at the time I was early 20s) it's just hard to be let down like this after wasting so much time and money. Just know that this does not work for very many people (if anyone at all). If you feel like it's working I challenge you to stop for a few months and see if you still feel the same way. I purchased a series of laser treatments, contracting for a total of $1,750 and making a half payment of $875. During my first session, the settings had to be dialed down significantly due to a medication I was on (Rinvoq). Because of this incomplete treatment, my aesthetician explicitly promised me a fourth session to make up for it and confirmed this amendment to our agreement in writing via text. Due to a permanent change in my travel circumstances, I am no longer able to commute from San Diego to Portland to finish the package. When I asked for a refund for the unused portion, management completely went back on their word. Per our written agreement for a 4-session package, the per-session rate is $437.50. Having completed only one session, I utilized $437.50 of my $875 payment and am legally owed a cash refund of $437.50. Instead, management chose to play dumb, completely ignored their own written text messages, and used a 3-session calculation to withhold my funds and offer a mere $292 in product credit, store credit, or credit transferable to a friend. I even laid out the exact math for management via email, showing how they were manipulating the numbers to keep my money, and they still refused to honor it. It is incredibly disappointing that a business will not stand by what its own staff puts in writing. Because they refuse to act ethically, I have officially filed a formal complaint with the Oregon Department of Justice Consumer Protection Division. Buyer beware--they will not honor their written agreements.
