I have driven by this place multiple times, but they have always been closed. So when I was at a…read morecommunity event, with several different food trucks, there nobody in front of me, and like two people waiting for their food. So it seemed to be the best time to go, especially since after I ordered there seemed to be a line forming. When I ordered the employee of this food truck, was not only incredibly friendly, but was helpful with any questions that I might have had. What I liked was how quickly my food came. True, I had to wait like 10 minutes, but it was totally worth it, especially since it might have taken longer if I had decided to come back even just like 15 minutes later. So I decided on the turkey burger with some fries to go with it. What I liked about my fries, was how not only how crispy they were, but how she didn't skimp on the amount of fries there were. Of course the best part was my burger, since it was my first time having a turkey sandwich. What I liked was not only did the patty pretty much take up the whole burger, but the tomatoes and lettuce were good sized as well. Even though the pickles were small, there was enough in the sandwich that gave it added flavor. I liked how my sandwich overall was good sized, even down to the bun itself. I do plan on going to the regular location over in Mounds View. I mean after all it is in the parking lot of a gas station so that does make it really convenient.

After seeing a banana bread chai on the website, I knew I had to seek it out! The person taking my order was immediately rude and sounded annoyed that I was there. I ordered a medium banana bread chai with oatmilk. She repeated it back to me but it was the wrong drink. I repeated it back to her and she stated the right drink but with almond milk. I politely corrected her and stated oatmilk. She read it back but had the wrong size! ....... For a place that only does drive through orders, this was very frustrating. When I was handed my drink, it did not have whipped cream on it, like the picture.... The drinks itself was very tasty! So I'll give this place 2 stars. I'm not sure if she was new or what happened... I will not be coming back to this location.

Premium ice cream, chocolates, and baked goods made in house - 5 stars!…read more I loved Grandpa's Ice Cream (the previous business) but I love, love, love Flamingos even more. They took what Grandpa's did, ran with it, and took it to a whole new level. And they're still one of a handful of places in the Twin Cities that actually makes their own ice cream. You really can't beat that for flavor and quality. All of the ice cream (and sorbet) is made in house with a small creamery in the back kitchen. They have a LOT of flavors, many of which are unique and one-of-a-kind. And they're constantly coming up with new varieties. In addition, they sell cookies, chocolates, and candies. They have beverages too. Not only does Flamingos have way more yummy choices than Grandpa's, their hours are longer, they're open more days of the week, and they're open way more days of the year. Stop in a check out Flamingos! Thumbs up! -Maxx

Tried Flamingo for ice cream near Moore Lake…read more The service was prompt and very polite. The ice cream seemed to have a low cream ratio as there were ice chunks in the ice cream flavors that we tried and very prevalent in the vanilla. The portions were very disappointing as we each requested a flight of three scoops for $6.25 for a flight. The scoops were so small that they were truly a taster amount. As can be seen in one of the photos, an entire scoop of ice cream fit on a plastic spoon. I was excited to try the unique flavors offered but the quality and pricing/serving size takes Flamingo off my list of go to ice cream shops.
