I was referred to John at Northwest Collision by a good friend of mine, and I am so grateful for the rec. My vehicle was involved in a crash; John took on the challenge, dealt with the insurance, and kept me updated on everything. He ended up not working on my car because it was eventually a total loss for the insurance. Still, even after finding this out, John continued to guide and help me with any questions I had about releasing my car and purchasing a new vehicle. I cannot recommend Northwest Collision enough. It's not easy to come across a mechanic that is so honest and helpful. read more

I sought out Northwest Collision when I dealt with a recent catalytic converter theft because I had heard through the grapevine that they provide exceptional service. I can attest that I was not disappointed and that they went above and beyond, which made the repair process a lot less stressful than it would've been otherwise. John reached out to me as soon as my car reached their shop with follow-up questions and helpful information that gave me a clear, unvarnished sense of the situation and what to expect in terms of timeline. Obviously, catalytic converter thefts are happening with greater frequency and parts are taking a very long time to arrive, but because the quality of John's communication was so high, I felt supported and reassured that my car was in great hands. I got the car back much sooner than the original estimation, too, and it was in perfect shape. I can't recommend Northwest Collision enough! read more

My daughter was involved in a fender bender that resulted in damage to the rear bumper and reflector light. We brought the vehicle to Northwest Collision and worked with John throughout the process. John is extremely knowledgeable and clearly well-versed in the auto body industry. He was honest, reliable, and professional from start to finish, which made the experience stress-free. He also went above and beyond by assisting us in working with the auto insurance company to ensure the proper amount was approved to fully and correctly repair the vehicle. His expertise and commitment to quality work were evident throughout. Northwest Collision is a top-tier shop, and I would confidently recommend John and his team to anyone in need of auto body repair. read more

When I picked up my car from Northwest Collision, I was overjoyed at its transformation. Somehow the car, which I got brand new several months ago, looked better than the day I drove it off the dealership lot. I said to John, the owner, that if I ever get into an accident he would 100 percent be the first person I call. After John, I would call my insurance and then after that I would call my mom (for emotional support). Now let's backtrack to why I came to Northwest Collision in the first place... My car was horribly vandalized while parked on the street. Whoever did it managed to key every single panel of my car's body. As I was about to take it to the auto body shop suggested by insurance, somebody instead recommended Northwest Collision. I drove it there mainly because it was closer, but boy am I relieved I did so. I'm an interior designer by profession, and from the first few minutes of meeting John I knew I was talking to a fellow creative with an eye for aesthetics and color. I never thought how important it was that the person repairing/repainting your car should have a creative frame of mind. I always just took it for granted as "mechanical" work. But through this experience, I realized how lucky I was to have had my car worked on by somebody like John who understood colors and of course cars like it was a work of art. And I know this as fact now, not because I briefly talked to John when I dropped off my car, but because John actually texted me with regular progress updates, and with photos too. It was fascinating to see my car in different stages of improvement as it was being repaired, repainted, and built back up. But more importantly, getting these updates with visuals gave me the reassurance that my car was in great hands. I don't wish accidents or vandalism on anybody and their cars. But if the unfortunate does happen, take comfort in knowing that John and his team at Northwest Collision will go above and beyond to make your car look better than the day you got it. read more

My Wife's Beetle impaled itself on someone's extended trailer hitch when stopping for traffic. It poked thru the radiator and A/C condenser and jacked the bumper. Somehow this is our fault even though the hitch stuck out 13 inches from the bumper...but whatever. Insurance Co. was pushing hard to take it to one of their "approved shops" but it felt kinda fishy. I've known John and NW for years as he did some custom work on my Datsun so I called his cell and he answered on the first ring and asked how "I was doin ?" Told him my situation and he said bring it over. After back and forth with insurance, they agreed and towed it to NW Auto. John handled everything perfectly and the Beetle is perfect, ahead of schedule. Its great to deal with a real company instead of some Private Equity conglomerate. John gave great, frequent updates, explained everything and did great work. I can tell it was ever in a crash! Do yourself a favor and just go there. Support hi quality shops like this please lest we all get suck with the big conglomerates! A+++ Wont go anywhere else. read more

Northwest Collision is the best! My wife was involved in a three-car accident during her morning commute. I knew exactly who to call. Years ago, my son crashed his classic 1970 Mustang, and they did an amazing job restoring his car back to its former glory. Her car sustained multiple areas of damage, including the passenger side rear door, tire, and rim. We were concerned the car would have to be totaled due to the extensive repairs needed. They worked with the insurance company to make sure the car was repaired quickly, and it now looks brand new, as if nothing ever happened. John and his crew are friendly, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. Amazing work! I will always be a loyal customer! read more

John is nothing but great. My car needed body repair and he did a thorough and pristine job. My car looked brand new when he handed it back over to me. It was also a company car so he had some headaches to work around with the fleet company and he was happy to help and never seemed put off by the run around they were giving him. He was focused on helping me and I really appreciated that. He was so friendly and personable too. I will always use John at Northwest after my positive experience. read more

I was hIt by a driver and the damage was so great that my car was not drivable. I didn't know where to have it towed since it was a Sunday evening and I had no idea who I could trust to possibly get it repaired. Thank God for Jack and his team at Northwest. They handled all the confusing details from getting a tow truck, dealing with estimates and insurance, finding and ordering parts and getting my car not only back to its prior condition, but looking even better! Jack always took the time to explain everything and made sure I was totally satisfied with the fair and timely repairs. I'm thrilled to have my car back and will always come back to Jack and Northwest for any and all body work this car and all future cars of mine might need. Thanks Northwest!!! read more

Listen, I am newer to Los Angeles, and don't have the same connections here, as I do where I am from. So, when my son wrecked my month old Jeep 4XE, people were trying to rip me off giving me the craziest quotes ever. John, wouldn't even give me a quote without seeing the vehicle in person. He was thoughtful, and understanding of my situation and needs. He went above and beyond checking to make sure all parts needed were available, before even promising to get the job done! Not to mention, he got it finished in no time! I'd also like to say that his staff, all of them, were friendly, talented, and actually fun, in a crappy situation. You would be crazy to go to anyone else! John and his staff are truly the best!! read more

We've been going to Northwest for years, and just this week they turned our disaster of a minivan into a brand-new vehicle. Jack is terrific. His rates are the best we've found for high-caliber work, he delivers on time, he's easy to talk to, and he answers his phone. Even if our insurance (or the other guy's) will pay for that fancy, attitudinal joint up on Lankershim, we take it to Jack. Can't recommend Northwest highly enough. read more

Jack is the best... my brother told me to drop my car off as soon as I got in to a small accident I was scared my car was going to be totaled but he reassured me everything was going to be fine even during corona I'm glad that him and his team could get my car together and it even came back better than before looks so good even fixed my bumper I'm in love read more

Jack is the man. Was shaken up after getting in my first accident, Jack took care of everything, got me into a rental and back to work asap. Car looked good as new when I get it back as well. Highly recommend Jack and his shop! read more

Honda of Noho recommended this place to me and I don't plan on using anyone for paint or bodywork again. There are probably cheaper or faster places, but their prices are fair and I was 100% satisfied with the finished work. I went there a little over a year ago. Had a golf ball sized dent in my Triumph motorcycle tank, right where 3 different colors meet. They fixed that, including the pin striping, and repaired/re-painted my rear cowl for $450. Go check out the other cars in their lot and you'll know you're in good hands. The tank still looks brand new. People can't believe its a 14 year old bike. read more

Went in on a Tuesday with a hood scoop for paint on my Subaru. Jack I think his name was, very friendly. Brought painter out, he took the paint code from my car to match the paint to the scoop. Quote me $145. They said it'd be done by end of week, early following week at the latest. Fast forward 3 weeks.... I call once a week to check status and they tell me they've been busy and will get to it the following week. Each week it's the same line. Finally I said forget it I'll come and pick it up. When I get there painter apologizes, says he's been working late every night and hasn't had time to get to it and he can do it the following week. I say no thanks. Took my scoop to another shop which quoted me $85 and a turn around of 2 days. 1 star due to frustration of having my time wasted. 2 star rating because though they wasted my time they were very friendly, for all the good that does, at least they weren't jerks about it. read more

I took my 2015 Hyundai Elantra in for some much needed TLC, and had a great experience. Jack is very knowledgeable, transparent, and really cares about customer service (an unfortunate rarity these days...) And his prices can't be beat--just $150 for full detail / steam clean, and in 1.5 hrs my car looked like new. He also quoted a reasonable rate for my bumper and rear spoiler that I can't pass up. Jack is the most honest and hardworking person. Before coming to this shop I went to a couple different shops around me, to install a rollpan on my tahoe. But halfway through the work they would each call me to say the job can not be done. That its impossible to do. Well for Jack it was extremely hard to do, but he got it done. So all i can say is a job can be hard to do, but to find the right person to do it is truly a man to do business with. Thanks alot Jack!!! read more

Jack and his crew did an outstanding job on my 1965 Mustang. I was referred to several shops in town after my accident, but Mustang Etc. referred me to Northwest Paint & Body and said if you have a classic this is the shop to go to. Jack knows classic cars very well, and takes the time to do REAL metal work. Re-building a wrecked classic is a lot more involved than newer cars and Jack and his crew took very good care of my car and myself as a customer. Very stand up guy, always kept me updated on the progress of the car. Jack guarantees his work and will go out of his way to make sure you're pleased. The paint on job they did is incredible, the car actually looks better than it did before I wrecked it. 5 stars all around, highly recommended! read more

Need bodywork done? Go see Jack at Northwest. He made the entire process painless, from dropping off the car to dealing with my insurance company for a supplemental repair estimate. (Insurance companies always try and lowball you to get away with paying the minimal amount possible, even after paying years of premiums with no claims made!). The repairs are perfect, and the paint match flawless, even for a 10 yr old metallic paint! Thanks Jack! read more
