If you are looking for a private school that is top notch and focuses on each individual child,…read moreplease explore The Catlin Gabel School. In a world where education puts kids in a box, The Catlin Gabel School is a refreshing tangent. I am so impressed with the students who have attended this school. They are the most mature kids who have been educated in a way that brings out the best of their gifts and abilities. Last year I had a student intern from Catlin at my place of business and I was so impressed. She was able to produce a professional video that reached the heart of my acupuncture practice and business. The first thought for most is that they cannot afford the school, but they have a complete system for financial grants and scholarships based on what you can realistically afford. According to the website: "More than one-quarter of the student body receives financial assistance through need-based grants and special scholarships. Grant and scholarship awards are not loans and do not have to be paid back. In 2013-14, we allocated over $3.4 million in financial aid to families with annual household incomes primarily in the range of $15,650 to $170,000. Award grants ranged from $1,830 to $25,750 and averaged $16,235." We hope our boys can attend this school next year or in the future and we applying for the 2014-15 school year. Fingers crossed and wish us luck!

The school really prepared me to be on my own once I graduated and also I was ahead of so many when I got to my college classes. I loved the small school environment once I was there! She's patient, attentive, and takes her time with each child to make sure they're really understanding and progressing. Thanks to her, my son has learned to read and is feeling confident heading into first grade. Christine and Stephanie, the director and co-director, continue to be incredible. They're so supportive, compassionate, and genuinely care about the families they serve. They always go above and beyond to make sure your child feels safe, loved, and well cared for--and that you feel supported as a parent. They're communicative, understanding, and truly lead with heart. I will honestly be so sad once my kids outgrow the need for daycare, because Baseline has been such a constant source of stability, comfort, and trust in our lives. Knowing my kids were safe, nurtured, and thriving there has meant the world to me, and I'll always be grateful for everything this amazing team has done for our family. Thank you BTL for everything.

The staff including Christine, Stephanie and his classroom teachers listened to what our son needed. A plan was created with us so everyone knew what to do and they were flexible around working with our son and his medical needs. He started out being worried and scared during that time of going to school to eventually wanting to go and liking his class. He even made a best friend. Due to the staff being willing to teaming with us around his needs he ended up catching up and exceeding expectations. My family and I highly recommends this daycare.

My experience with SafeSplash has been very disappointing, and I haven't even started classes yet…read more I initially enrolled online but had several questions because the schedule was confusing, the swim levels weren't clearly explained, and the website didn't provide enough information. When I called, I was already three-quarters of the way through the enrollment process. The representative asked me to cancel my online enrollment so he could enroll me over the phone, saying I'd get a better price. It ended up being exactly the same price. I also asked multiple times about private lessons because my schedule is very limited. Instead of answering my question, the representative kept talking about creating a group class. I had to explain several times that I wasn't looking for a group class--I wanted private lessons on a schedule that worked for me. Eventually, we found one group class that fit my schedule, and it was literally the only time I could attend. I enrolled and paid the annual registration fee based on that schedule. Then, on the day the class was supposed to start, SafeSplash changed the class time, making it impossible for me to attend. Since then, I've called twice and have been promised a callback within 48 hours, but no one has followed up. I've also been told that the annual registration fee is non-refundable because my class "already started"--even though the reason I can't attend is because they changed the schedule after I enrolled. I understand that schedules sometimes need to change, but customers shouldn't be penalized or charged a non-refundable fee when the company changes the only class they were able to attend. I hope SafeSplash reconsiders how it handles situations like this and improves both its communication and customer service. I'm happy to change my review if you change my experience. C. Travis
