They did mention this may take a month and a half or so, as they had to wait for Care 4 Kids to send their August payment. I was fine with this. Fast forward to November, I haven't heard from them or received any mailings. I called the Cheshire Stork Club on 11/23. The lady (Jen) was pleasant and referred me to the corporate office in Meriden. I'm not sure of his name ( possibly Merle Gandolfo), but he was rude. He stated he would check with the Cheshire office and call me back. I did receive a timely voicemail the next day, but it stated I owed a balance of just over $62! Again, I was never notified or informed of this in any way. I left a voicemail and a message with the answering service on Sunday 11/29, stating the issue and explaining what I thought the cause was. I never got a returned call. I called back Monday morning (11/30). The man said he was on the other line, took down my number, and promised to call back. He didn't. I called back again, and he refused to speak to me or even answer my question. He was told he can no longer speak with me verbally and if I called him any more I would be reported to the police for harassment! Funny thing is, what I believe to be the issue is simple. My daughter was charged for a week she did not attend (it listed the charge for the week on her statement and two lines under it listed her last day being the prior week). This is an easy fix and I am dumbfounded that it is turning into this haven huge thing. Parents, it's not worth the hassle and disrespect I endured. Also, I still haven't received my money back. I would not recommend this place to anyone

We were excited to start our son at Bristol Child Development Center, especially since we had such…read morea great experience there with our daughter. Unfortunately, our experience with our son was very different. After Christmas break, we noticed a significant change in his behavior and attitude. There were several incidents where the school reported that he ate breakfast or lunch, but when we asked him about it, his answers didn't match what we were told. He would say he didn't try certain foods because they looked gross or that he didn't like them. On one occasion we were told he ate most of his breakfast, but when we asked what he ate, the response was that he "tasted a few things and drank extra milk." To us, that does not sound like eating most of a meal. It made us feel like the food communication was not accurate or that staff simply weren't paying close attention. Our son also reached a stage where he no longer wanted to nap. The school reported that he was crying, whining, and being disruptive during nap time. There was one day where he was so upset and crying during the entire two-hour nap period that the teachers and director were messaging and calling me about it. Not knowing what else to do, I ended up picking him up early. When I arrived and picked him up, I noticed a red mark very close to the corner of his eye while we were standing in the hallway. When I asked him what happened, he told me that he hit his face on what he called the "bad boy couch." This incident had not been reported to me by any of the staff. Concerned, we even brought our very tired four-year-old to therapy to make sure there wasn't something deeper going on. We were told his behavior was completely age-appropriate. What concerned us most was how the situation was handled by the classroom teachers and administration. Our son began coming home saying his teachers didn't like him, that they didn't talk to him, and that they ignored him. One day he told us that Miss Kaitlyn said she didn't want him to come to school because he cries too much, which upset him and made him cry even more. When we brought these concerns to the director, Miss Pam, we felt completely dismissed. We were essentially told that our son was the problem and that the teachers "would never say that." At no point did we feel that our concerns would be addressed with the teachers. Each time we raised an issue, the response was that they "go above and beyond" for him, without any acknowledgment of his feelings or attempt to work with us on solutions. This experience made us feel like the staff simply didn't want to deal with a child who needed a little extra patience during a difficult phase. Ultimately, we decided to remove our son from the daycare. I would not recommend this center unless you have a very quiet, easygoing child. We were disappointed that the administration did not try to resolve the situation or show concern for how our son was feeling.

The Head of School, Ms. Taylor, cares deeply about the wellbeing and growth of each child. The lead teacher, Ms. Karla, is incredibly warm and caring, and has been meeting the unique needs of each of my children. This is a true Montessori school: the environment is carefully prepared and when you observe the children in class, they attend to their own work happily and independently to the sounds of instrumental music. There are also after kindergarten programs if you'd like your kindergartener to have a full day of school. Prices are very reasonable considering the level and quality of the programs here. The teachers are great, and the teacher to student ratio is excellent (3 kids to 1 teacher in the 3 year old program). The entire facility is very aware of childhood allergies, and if your child has a sensitivity of any kind, it is addressed. This is great to keep in mind. Fortunately, my kids aren't allergic to anything, but I understand what a challenge this for other families.
