The teachers and directors were always super sweet to us. But when my younger son was 2 years old the school had no idea how to handle age appropriate negative behaviors. Some 2 year olds can be challenging but instead of trying to help, they instead tried everything to get us to leave the school and transfer him out. I would pick him up every day and his diaper and pants would be soaked and I would ask "how come no one changed him?" And consistently I would get the answer "he refused." Ummm a 2 year old refused to change their diaper and you are ok with that? Same thing with food. He would not be given his lunch but everything was thrown out daily. Their attitude towards us changed completely. No more sweet, helpful teachers and directors. It was just a very uncaring situation when a child becomes a little challenging. But if your child follows all their rules and never gives any problem (like my older one), they will do fine. We switched my younger one to Joni's down the street (I was hesitant because the building was older and cramped and I hadn't known much about that school). But I am so thankful for the switch. He did amazing and he thrived there with their love.

There are also after kindergarten programs if you'd like your kindergartener to have a full day of school. Prices are very reasonable considering the level and quality of the programs here. The teachers are great, and the teacher to student ratio is excellent (3 kids to 1 teacher in the 3 year old program). The entire facility is very aware of childhood allergies, and if your child has a sensitivity of any kind, it is addressed. This is great to keep in mind. Fortunately, my kids aren't allergic to anything, but I understand what a challenge this for other families.

My toddler son is learning so much at the discovery preschool level, much more than I would have been able to expose him to. It truly is like a play based school before school. Watching their growth over the past few years has been truly incredible, particularly under their current teachers Ms. Lia and Ms. Kiara. They have absolutely flourished in this setting and genuinely love going every single day. All of the teachers are exceptionally strong, skilled, and caring. Not only in terms of learning, but the love my girls receive from every single teacher is nothing short of fantastic. They are deeply invested in each child's development and well-being. The skill building that happens here is impressive, with a wide range of creative, engaging, and developmentally appropriate activities that keep the children excited and wanting to participate. My girls come home daily with another project that they created at school and the sense of pride on their face is amazing. Over the past year especially, we have seen many positive changes that have made an already great program even better. Communication, organization, and programming have all improved drastically with the director, Ms. Allison. Check-in and drop-off are seamless and stress-free on the school's end, which makes a huge difference for us. My girls take forever to leave because they need to make sure they say goodbye to all the teachers and Ms. Allison. The car ride home is a flurry of stories about what they learned and how great their day was. Even the school itself is impeccably clean and well maintained, which gives us so much peace of mind. Above all, it's clear how much the staff truly care about each and every child that enters through their front door. We feel incredibly grateful to have found a place where our daughters are safe, happy, challenged, and so well loved. We highly recommend this daycare to any family looking for an outstanding experience.

I would not recommend The Learning Experience in Newington. Our experience there was extremely…read moredisappointing and concerning as a parent. The overall environment lacked professionalism and respect. Several staff members were disrespectful when communicating with both parents and children, which is unacceptable in a place that is supposed to support young kids. It often felt like concerns were brushed off rather than taken seriously. One of the biggest issues was the lack of supervision. Teachers were frequently on their phones instead of actively watching the children. In a daycare setting, supervision should always be the top priority, and it was alarming to see how often this seemed to be ignored. Unfortunately, the leadership from the director did not improve these issues. A daycare director should model professionalism and ensure a safe and respectful environment, but that did not seem to be happening. Some of the concerns included: * Allowing teachers to be on their phones while supervising children * Failing to ensure proper supervision in classrooms * Not addressing staff behavior when it is unprofessional or disrespectful * Dismissing or minimizing parent concerns instead of investigating them * Poor communication with families * Lack of accountability for staff actions * Creating an environment where staff do not appear to be held to high standards A daycare director should be actively ensuring that children are safe, staff are attentive, and parents feel comfortable raising concerns. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. Parents trust childcare centers with the most important thing in their lives, their children. Professionalism, supervision, and respectful communication should be the bare minimum, and sadly those expectations were not met in our experience.

The teachers are compassionate, patient, kind, accomodating, and overall extraordinary. We feel safe and confident leaving our 4 year old and twin 1 year old girls in their care. Their curriculum is beyond compare--they take extra steps in providing fun yet educational care for our children. The extra offerings like cooking class, phonics, and soccer training (not to mention their awesome summer program) are just added bonuses. The director, Heather, goes out of her way to touch base with us about our children's progression and provide us support. She and other staff have been a great support/reference for us as parents, providing us information and feedback on parenting tricks and child behaviour (and letting us know that we weren't crazy when we had home issues). They truly know and understand children. We feel that our son is already ahead of other children his age that go to other providers and will be well prepared for kindergarten. We really can't say enough good things about this center. I should also mention that we drive almost an extra 30 minutes, passing many daycares (including another Kindercare) just to come to this excellent learning center. We highly recommend this center if you are looking for the best choice for your child (ren).
