Our closing date kept pushing back and even the day of closing I had to call THEM to ask where the final documents were. I worked third shift and would get called randomly, despite them knowing, for documents to be re-sent even though I had sent them already months ago. Ultimately we had to beg our sellers to give us more time so we could switch to another Mortgage Loan Business because I was DONE with dealing with this nonsense. With that new place our loan was provided within 2 weeks with no blood sweat or literal TEARS. Words can't express how awful my experience was trying to buy a home here. I'm not sure if it is the company as a whole, but the loan officer I worked with to this day still makes my blood boil. I won't say her name for her sake.

I again apologized to my teller She smiled and let me know there were no worries. They both were kind and upstanding. In fact the Supervisor thanked me for Yelping thrm!! You are asked to go to the closest branch which is 48 miles away for me or provide a document in which you have to get notarized confirming who you are. I have banked with several organizations and never have I been treated like this or locked out of my account(s) and asked numerous questions to confirm identiy. BEWARE of BMO they are exercising questionable practices with the consumers money. I will reach our to the Attorney General concerning these practices.

Not just an address!! An address alone looks fraudulent and when calling BMO customer service they couldn't find the name of the business.? That's not very reassuring! Turns out it was a local grocery retailer that charged incorrect amount and only lists the address so it flagged as fraudulent. Technology should be improved!!

They treat refunds like a store credit. If the refund doesn't come in prior to the end of the same billing cycle it won't get applied to the current balance. It gets applied to future purchases and sits there till it's used up. I don't have any other credit cards that do this? Are they going to pay me 27% interest on that money while it sits there?! I won't be using that card anymore.

Over this time I was able to get to know the employees, always enjoyed talking to them. Recently they have changed their policy's regarding the cashing of checks including your own personnel ones. Now you have to show your drivers license when cashing a $10.00 check drawn on your own account. The other day I needed to cash a $1,500, again on my account which carries an average balance of medium 5 figures. Not only did they need my DL, but they also requested answering personnel questions to verify my identity. Not only do they have my signature on file, but I have talked to this teller numerous times. She knows who I am. What ever happened to Customer Service?? Needless to say, I will be moving all of my accounts to another financial institution. This is past the point of being ridiculous I also know of others who have transferred their accounts. Good Luck!!
