After bringing our dog here for some time, the vet decided she was not going to see him because she wasn't going to get bit. I had a muzzle on the dog as always. This is the rudest, nastiest vet i have ever encountered read more

This clinic may have paid for a lot of five star reviews since my experience was similar to all the other reviews, ALL interestingly enough 1 star, that are hidden by all these 5 star reviews. Note I have been breeding Service Dog Bloodline Chows since 2008. I ran Houston Area Chow Rescue for 10 years before that. Prior to retiring due to my Service Connected medical condition (100% service connected disabled veteran) I was the head of R&D for an international BIOREMEADIATION FIRM. I am a microbiologist out of and under the HEAD OF THE NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION (Dr R. Collwell at UMCP) academically. I TAUGHT pre-Med courses at the #5 pre-Med program in the USA (UCMP again). Also note that due to my disability I do not drive and am essentially home bound so must rely on others for any sort of transportation. Tuesday night, 28 March 2023 my 5 year old blue smooth coat Chow somehow injured his scrotum to the point of his testicles were outside of the sack. As well as being my senior male chow he was also an AKC Stud Book DNA Registered Sire with many descendants serving as both service and alert dogs under the ADA, and was my personal ADA Service dog who I had trained to help me get up from a sitting/prone position should my 100% Service Connected Disability effect my ability to get or standup. Most importantly even after 4 years of living here and actively looking on many occasions, especially during the pandemic, I have yet to find a veterinarian to compare with the 2 Tex A&M P.V. INSTRUCTORS who had been my vet/vet clinic for over 20 years in the Houston area. Not only do I have the chows, but goats, rabbits, poultry, and recently I heartbreakingly lost my parrot. Finding a competent veterinarian for all of these needs is seemingly impossible. Wednesday the 29th had started with Bubba walking around like there was nothing wrong and I did not realize he was injured until I was able to determined which of my chows was leaving blood drops on the floor. The injury was observed no more than 12 hours after occurring. Once it was determined that it was he who was the injured dog, water was sterilized via the tyndallization process to make sterile saline (something that takes hours to accomplish) so the injury could be cleaned and it's extent could be determined there were NO EMERGENCY VETERINARIAN SERVICES OPEN IN THE MUSKOGEE AREA! I was up most the evening cleaning the wound and stabilizing my boy for transport as soon as he could be taken to a qualified veterinarian for advanced treatment in the morning when one was open locally. Upon entering the exam room and after I requested the injury be treated as if my boy was a Ram or Billy with a similar injury the and the veterinarian responded with nothing but hostility starting by claiming that I didn't know what I was talking about. It was clearly implied that I was a liar as far as the injury timing. And the staff handling my dog told me that they were not comfortable with me to the point that they asked the person who was only driving me and my injured dog around but who had never actually handled my dog previously to accompany my dog into their back area. Presumably since I told them that I felt I was signing my dog's death warrant entrusting my dog and his life to this clinic and the veterinarian that I had met. WHICH I WAS I will forever blame myself for leaving him with these people to ignore him as he aspirated while he laid there dying from their lack of even the basic minimum proper professional care and supervision of an animal coming out from under general anesthesia, or not asking my driver to retrieve my boy after I calmed down after the personal attacks I was assaulted with at this so called professional establishment... This vet and her hospital should be put out of business or just switch over to only euthanizing animals since they are not competent to actually treat them. I did call them to thank them for charging me $500 and then MURDERING MY DOG. No ONE from this clinic ever called me about what happened. I only know what happened because the person driving me had gone to school with an employee of this "clinic" and they told him. I hope they sleep very well knowing they murdered my dog. I won't. Nor will I for many months to come. And even after I do get to sleep I will never forgive myself for allowing these people to ignore my dog while he aspirated after they needlessly subjected him to a methodology I KNEW was an unsafe method to use on him. read more

Everyone in the office is kind, polite and very professional during a busy drop off time in the mornings or when we pick Jack up late in the evenings. Jack gets better customer service at the vet than I or my parents do when we go to the doctors office. We are amazed and impressed by the organization and service at your clinic. Please keep up the good work and thank you so much for caring for our Fur Baby Jack!!!! read more

Owner/Vet of Northside Veterinary Clinic did not disclose the issue regarding the pet correctly. When asked about the treatment and ailment she proceeded to get upset and called my supporting half a liar. She proceeded to raise her voice in a very unprofessional matter. Most of the staff at this location have been supportive on this emotional journey. But the owner/vet lacks the compassion, understanding, or professionalism of a good provider So if your putting your trust into the Vet/Doc/Owner I would strongly suggest you take your fur family member to another location. read more

On March 18, 2020 I took my registered Persian cat in to get groomed. Nora was the person grooming him. In the process of grooming him, she CUT HIS EAR OFF! No one called me to let me know what happen. Dr. Jamison treated the wound without my permission. When I went to pick him up, that's when they told me what had happen. They told me that Nora was fired. I found out from the receptionist a few weeks ago, that Nora still works there. They lied to me!! I absolutely do not recommend this business. Cutting an animal's ear off is animal cruelty!! read more

Moved here recently and had our poodle in for allergies. Asked them to get his records from previous vet. Took him in this week for update shots and an exam. They gave him a rabbies shot (was current on the three year from the previous vet) and was told the vet was in surgery and I would need to make another appointment. We won't be back! read more

I took my baby to Northside for treatment of what turned out to be a polyp. I made an appointment but that doesnt matter Dr. was late, walked into exam room, never introduced herself, never asked for my babies name, said less than 50 words, the exam consisted of her lifting my babies tail, said it was a polyp and could be removed with surgery, then left the room. A helper came in, expressed the glands. I was told to give antibiotics. The staff were over worked, could not find my babies records, and the meds made my baby sick. I called to let them know and was told I could buy more meds if I wanted. They did not treat my baby or me with respect, only cared for MONEY and not my poor sick baby. IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET NEVER GO THERE. read more

my dog was favoring a leg. less than 60 seconds into examining room was told to come back next morning for x-rays. doctor never even touched the dog or looked at her and left room.i was charged for a office visit anyway. i do not feel this is proper or proffesional behavior. for over 30 years glenda and david cason cared for our animals and actually cared about us. northside is only caring about the almighty dollar. i will respectfully never use them again. read more

Northside Veterinary Clinic staff and grooming staff are phenomenal and always make us feel like our animals get the best of care.

I'd been taking my dog here for more than 3 weeks to find out what work needed to be done on him. It was great, being able to drop him off for treatments and procedures he needed, then I finally met the vet! She is EXTREMELY hateful and demeaning, and tells me that he contracted kennel cough, but it wasn't from there when that is the only facility he's ever been to or been around other animals at! Funny how he goes 7-8 years never having contracted this, and the first weekend he's boarded he gets it! They claim no culpability and wouldn't even acknowledge the possibility that he got it from there! I will never return with any of my animals after this experience! read more

DO NOT bring your animals here. My cat started out with a UTI that would not get better and this lead the vet to believe that he had diabetes. He was at the vet for a total of 3 days so they could test his blood sugar with various doses of insulin and see how many units he needed to take. I paid $200 for this service on the second day he was there and was told this was all I would have to pay. When I went back to pick him up the 3rd day, the receptionist said I had a charge of $30. I asked what this was for and she said it was for his insulin. I explained that I was going to purchase his insulin at Walmart because it's cheaper there and it's the same exact kind. I also apologized and said I wasn't trying to be difficult, I'm just a college student and don't have much money. She then put us in a room and went to tell the vet that I didn't want to purchase the insulin from them. Then, the vet (not a receptionist or tech, the literal DOCTOR) is standing RIGHT OUTSIDE our room and says very loudly "I'M SO DONE WITH THIS B*TCH, WHERE IS SHE". She then burst into the room like she was going to go off on me, but I cut her off and said "I don't appreciate you speaking about me that way. I'm a college student and don't have much money. I don't want to buy the insulin from here because I can't afford to pay a higher price for the same product." She then argued with me for a few minutes, essentially belittling me because I didn't have the money to purchase the insulin from them, denied calling me a b*tch (which she later admitted to and "apologized"), asked me why I was being so difficult, and told me to "get out". They refunded us for the $200 but I just can't believe how I was treated all because I didn't want to purchase a product from them. I was bawling in the waiting room afterwards waiting to be refunded and none of the employees seemed to care. This is honestly the worst experience I have ever had from a business, and all because I'm a broke 20 year old college student that wanted to explore cheaper options. read more
