Absolute Investigative is a reputable company that I plan on continuing to do business with, however today I am writing this review to illustrate one of the most negative business experiences I've ever had. The experience has very little to do with Absolute Investigative and everything to do with a specific individual working at this location. I normally go to Bel Air or Towson Absolute, but because I was in the Essex area and I've never had a poor experience at any of the other locations I figured I'd get my fingerprints done at the Essex location. In order to specify who I am writing this review about... I was at this location on 6-June-2022 around 4pm and there were two employees working. One was a younger female who was in training to learn the job. The other employee was an older female with a nose ring who seemed to be the senior employee on duty. This is the individual I am writing this review about, I will refer to her as "the manager". The younger female helped me at the front desk when I arrived, she had a multitude of questions while I was at the front desk that she asked the manager. The manager never got up and answered all questions from behind the wall, refraining from getting up for just about anything. I had to get 4 fingerprint cards done today totaling $100, which for me is a fair sum of money to spend. The female in training didn't know what she was doing. This was apparent to me when she tried to use the black piece of plastic designed to hold the fingerprint card in place as the ink pad. After finding the ink pad she messed up the first card by fingerprinting the wrong hand. ALL OF THIS IS FINE, the problem to me is she obviously wasn't receiving any training from the manager. More-so when I asked the younger female to get a new card the manager grunted from behind the wall that I'd have to pay for a whole new card. She made the younger female put "white-out stickers" over the fingerprints that were done in error. I asked several times for a new card, however every time I was talked to like an idiot for wanting to do so. In my defense when you pay $100 for fingerprint cards (which are just pieces of paper) this is a small favor to ask. These cards accompany tax stamps worth hundreds of dollars that go to the ATF for review, so if they get denied due to inadequate printing it is a costly mistake that I don't get informed of until months after submission. If I had to sum up the "manager" discussed above I would use the words lazy, disrespectful, and unprofessional. I WILL NEVER go back to the Essex location due to this employee. I WILL go back to Bel Air and Towson Absolute in the future. I warn those who run the Absolute Investigative business chain and potential customers planning to visit the Essex Absolute about this employee. Her lack of professionalism when handling customers is disgraceful. Moreover the inadequate leadership and utter lack training that she was giving the younger employee was sad to me. It is one thing to be a low-life yourself, but when your toxic leadership and attitude stagnates fellow employees that is quite problematic. When it comes to a business that deals with sensitive information handling such as Absolute Investigative she absolutely not the type of person I would want associated with my business.

In the beginning of January I tried calling the store phone listed on google but every time I called, the phone said the line is busy and to try again. I tried reaching out on Yelp and on their instagram page, explaining that the phone was not working but I was left on "seen" 2 different times. I didn't want to be a bother but I spent $120 on the Groupon so I needed some answers. I voice called the instagram page & the person who answered said they were only the social media manager and they were not in charge of booking so eventually they took my name and number so the shop owner could get back to me. I got a call soon after. When I got on the phone with the owner, we discussed that TODAY (Jan 15) at 5:30 was a time that worked for both of us to have the private pottery class for 2. I literally drove 2 hours to Catonsville to use this $120 Groupon. I planned another visit after august to use this $120 Groupon... just to get to this stupid shop to find that it is closed. I tried calling the number and surprisingly it didn't say the line was busy! But it did say they were quarantining for a week... sorry you have to do that but it's actually ridiculous that I had a reservation for a service & I couldn't even get a phone call or email to know that my reservation would be cancelled and need to be rescheduled. . I'm not going to lie, it feels a little racist because if I was any other color, I would gotten an instagram response instead of having to call & I'm sure I would have been extended that warning before driving 2 hours out of my way to use a $120 Groupon this weekend. It's a shame that I already validated the Groupon to make the reservation, because now I can't get my money back. Biggest waste of time and energy and MONEY

To the right of that in the same room is another place to shoot, where you can bring down the paper background. It's a well-lit room and my favorite room to shoot in. Room 2: This is a smaller room. You can pull down the paper backdrops as well. It's a great place for a small "Youtube" video session, a podcast, or stationary shots since it's tinier. Room #3: This is a themed vintage room (picture is below). There is a typewriter, plush chairs, and an old style telephone. It reminds me of selfie-world NoVa DC. Parking nearby on the weekend is $10 for the parking garage. I wish they had more props for models to use in their photos are play with. They had a few plants on the ground and a white box to sit-on.
