Here's my 5 year review of Northport Campground in Northport, ME
We stayed here in 2019, and at that time, the owner said he was going to be updating and clearning up the campground. The pool had been closed, and the bathroom/shower house was disgusting with black "mold" or something around the edges of the shower floors. We had been assured that these things were going to be taken care of.
We stayed here for 8 nights! At the rate they charged ($60/night), it is a shame, and if we could have gotten a refund and gone elsewhere, we would have!!
Although their website says, "Clean indoor rest rooms with flush toilets and hot water. Hot showers," not one thing has been remodeled or fixed since we had been here 5 years ago. There is no way I or my husband would shower in these showers.
There is no office, there is no laundry room, there is no wifi. The trash dumpster hasn't been emptied since we got here, and when we arrived, it was already almost full!
There is one "permanent" mobile home that looks like it's ready to fall off its "foundation." They have a food truck in front of some of the worst, trashiest area behind it and next to his house.
This beautiful piece of property has deteriorated badly. It had about 10 RVs, and only about 3 had any people. All the rest looked like they were being stored here!
My advice is to stay away. No matter how nice the owner was, the campground is a rip-off.
