My Mum has a 2008 Camry my family is getting ready to sell, so my Dad took it here as it is our local Toyota dealer/service centre and had a very bad/suprising experience.
I swear, if you read through my reviews (especially the bad ones), my family and I just can't seem to find bloody good car servicers!!
Anyway, Dad dropped it off and walked the 20 minute journey home. By the time he returned the phone rang and they said the car was ready to be picked up.
He turned around and walked back, and when he got there asked how much it was - $240... ummm, what for???
He asked why so much and what did they actually do, they explained they changed the oil, the filter and looked over everything, but the car was fine elsewhere. That was it.
Dad continued to discuss this obviously unnecessary service and the ridiculous price, only for the guy to tell him 2 service technicians had to work on the car and their labour is expensive. Um pretty sure a 16 year old apprentice mechanic (who would have done this job no doubt), isn't known as a service mechanic.
In the end, the guy said to Dad - well if you aren't happy and it is too expensive don't come back! Needless to say, we won't be going back.. read more
