I have been coming here for a while and have seen a lot of people come and go but just the fact that this place is available for addicts is amazing, however, way behind its time. I had no idea this place or anything of its kind even existed. If it hadn't been for a friend of my husbands having come here, I would not know of it and I probably would still be out there. I can't even begin to fathom where I would be if I hadn't come here. The staff is amazing. The pharmacist, Louie, is absolutely amazing. He treats every client with great dignity and respect. We talk about bands and music and anything else. It is like seeing a good friend everytime I come in. The nurse, Vince, is one of the friendliest, smartest people I know and I have such a great deal of respect for him. This is mostly because he delivers the utmost respect for me. He is like the calming voice of reason at BAART. My counselor, Stacey is the best and I couldn't ask for better. She listens, she has fantastic advice and feedback and treats me better than I could expect any drug counselor to treat an addict. I refer to myself as an addict because that is indeed what I am, but BAART and it's staff have never treated me like just another "addict". I would and have recommended anyone in need of help to come to BAART. Thank you to all the staff! I am truly grateful.

There are a few reasons that got me to write this, but the main one would be my counselor Angie. Yes all the counselors I've had starting with Shelia are great but Angie has guided, pushed, advised, been my biggest cheerleader when needed and held me accountable in most ways possible. I like words, but if I had to sum it up with just one it would be 'genuine'. All of them, Doc, the nurses, pharmacists, counselors again of course and even the receptionist genuinely care. When they ask how yer doing, they really wanna know. I'm not looking to blow smoke, I just feel you need to know how good this place is. I feel the people reading this would 100% agree that there's nothing better than having if not several people, at least 1 person who believes in you and would choose to look out for you. That's what I've lived/experienced with Angie. She is very personable. Through that and her guidance and pushing I have health insurance now. What a concept!! Besides the enormous amount of money that is saving me, it has allowed me to see Doctors for the among other things, the health concerns that my annual physical Baart requires brought to light. There was a time in particular, I was coming back up from a trip to Texas to come in and refill my meds and have my counseling session, I was an hour prob 2 behind when I would usually get there. I dont have a set appointment, but based on my past I was late so she calls me. Thats what I call caring about yer patient. Who does that anymore? Angie and Baart thats who.
