I got my first speeding ticket at the age of 42 in the city of Northglenn. The officer that pulled me over was fairly rude. By example he told me to lose my attitude by lowering my eyebrows. I swear, no attitude was to be found on my part. I went to court for a six point speeding ticket, and was fined $330 and I voluntarily took an 8hr driving class to save myself a point.
That was the bad news.
Now I would like to continue onto the good news. No one likes to go to court, facing the judge, and that includes me, however I have to say that the experience at the Northglenn Courthouse is as pleasant as a courthouse can be.
I attribute the pleasantries and the calmness of the court and building to the ladies that run the courthouse.
Even the deputy was female and pleasant. The clerks are very nice, the judge is firm, however empathetic as well. She was not intimidating, and very approachable.
Much thanks to the employees for making what could be a bad situation into a feeling like it's not the end of the world. read more
