I recently took my Ford Edge to Northgate for some maintenance work. Although I had NO intention of even considering replacing it, I found myself wandering over to the Used car lot and met Travis - the BEST salesperson I have ever met in my entire life and I'm "of an age". Although he was certainly knowledgeable, he asked me the right questions and he LISTENED to my answers! He suggested that *maybe* a larger higher more visible vehicle would be to my benefit. I took it home overnight to try it out And that is how I traded in my Edge the following day for my new RED Explorer! He asked the right questions and made a suggestion that has given me new comfort and security in driving a larger vehicle. Thank you to TRAVIS, Tom, and Dean for making all the details work out smoothly and again to Travis for patiently explaining how ALL the new buttons worked!!!! read more

Total Scam. Advertised 44k miles, actual trip log showed 83k miles! Drove 10 hours one way from Iowa for a "low-mileage" 2005 Chevy Duramax. Signed paperwork, then caught that Trip B read 83,000 miles and engine hours were at 5,300. The odometer was completely wrong or tampered with. Backed out of the deal. Had to pay $950 for an emergency Enterprise rental car to get home. Refunded the truck but refused to pay for the rental car unless I came back and bought the shady truck anyway. Unscrupulous dealership. Check the trip computers and engine hours before you sign anything here! read more

Friendly and courteous staff what a great experience I was in and out in no time with the purchase of my new transit

Had a great experience leasing my new vehicle Mike and Joe worked together to work out all the kinks thanks for all the work.

Fabulous experience as always. I've been getting all of my cars from Northgate for 30 years. The Tom Touch" is the difference

My experience was amazing.I was notified of all my options, but was not pressured, and was delivered a sweet deal on a 2025 Escape. Thank you Travis Hall for pointing me in the right direction. Thank you Jeff Blair Jr for the Easy sale and the training on all the new gadgets. And thanks to Dean the finance guy for helping keep me in my budget. Great teamwork! read more

My 2017 Ford F250 was towed to them for repairs, January 7, following an accident. They had my car for 2 months without doing a single thing. They NEVER called me the whole 2 months they had my vehicle. Every time I called (at least every 2 weeks) for an update, I got excuse after excuse, empty promises, and zero action. My insurance company even had to contact them for an update because they never received any paperwork. I went up there Monday 3/3 and demanded to see the repair progress on my truck. The only thing they did was remove the tailgate, bumper, fifth wheel rails and bed liner and put the donut on. They could not provide me with an estimated ready date, updated estimate, supplemental form or list of parts ordered for my truck. So I took pictures and had it towed to another dealer. To make matters worse, the General Manager admitted they "dropped the ball"--but when I asked for fair compensation for all the time, stress, and inconvenience this caused me, they told me they couldn't help. No apology, no attempt to make it right--just "too bad." I'm beyond frustrated. If this is how they treat their customers, people deserve to know. I will never step foot in or recommend Northgate Ford to anyone. read more

I have leased a dozen or so cars from Northgate over the years. They have always provided outstanding customer service, something I have never experienced anywhere else. They deliver cars, and they pick them up for service. It's been an honor to do business with Tom Wood and the entire staff. If you want to purchase a Ford, no matter where you live (from metro Detroit to the thumb), THIS is the go to dealership. Bravo, team. You get 10 stars on a 5-star rating scale. read more

I reserved a Ford Lightning in April of 2021 (27 months ago). The MSRP at that time was estimated to be $ 53,000. I wasn't able to actually order the vehicle until early 2023 due to COVID. I received an email notification that the truck was being shipped on July 1st and the window sticker was over $70,000. Thankfully my nephew is a Ford engineer and I qualified for a discount. After providing the PIN number for the discount, I was notified by my salesman that the price was still $ 70,000 because they are going to sell it for thousands over MSRP. We will NEVER buy anything from Northgate Ford. read more

I am not one to pull the race card, so I will let you guys tell me. My wife and I pulled up to the lot to look at a Focus ST. As we get out the car a man who works there walks past us without looking our way. We spoke and he looked away. Okay, he was busy. We walked into the showroom and every employee looked at us and looked down. Only one salesperson had a customer so that was odd. At this point my wife was ready to go. I proceeded to look at the Mustang on the floor. Another salesperson looked at us and walked past us. I went to to bookshelf to pick out a few books and another salesperson stared at us without saying a word. At this point I say it would had been nice to get some help as we were looking to purchase a new car. I say it loudly enough for all to hear. Still, no response. My wife and I proceed to walk to the door to leave and I turn around to see three sales people looking at me. Nope, they never said a word. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS DEALERSHIP! My money spends just like anyone else, not to mention, I am a human being. No worries though. You certainly lost a sale! read more

A true disappointment.. northgate ford advertised a ford maverick for A plan price my wife put money down on the car. When I went with her they inform us that they will not take an A plan and they are adding $5000.00 to the sticker price. That was because they are not selling enough car's so someone has to make up the difference. We showed them there web page ad. They said ford post the adds not them. But as we left they changed the ad on the web site to say call for price. False advertising and price gouging. read more

The newest generation owner of Northgate Ford is a dishonest coward. I ordered a Bronco 2 years ago on a preorder and when it came time to order he told the salesman to raised the price to way over sticker and did not not have the guts to call me himself to tell me. The dealership is getting my Bronco Raptor preorder and selling it to the highest bidder. What a dishonest jerk I or my family who have supported Northgate Ford for may years will never darken their doorway ever again and I recommend anyone who thinks this is a dishonest move to please go to the St. Clair dealer who are much more honest to deal with. read more

leased 4 cars from them Great experience Always good experience with service department also

Service Department We were greeted as we arrived, paperwork was taken care of very timely and the car was taken for its we recall service and we were advised that it would be about an hour. one of the salesman also stopped by to see how we were doing and offered to let us test drive a vehicle for as long as we wanted, so we did and we covered some errands. Shortly thereafter we received a call that our car was ready for pickup. When we arrived back the salesman greeted us and we thanked him for the use of the of the car. I was traveling from Illinois and had a problem with a panel under my vehicle that had somehow dislodged. I used a shoe lace to hold it in place until I arrived in Port Huron. I found Northgate on my phone as they were close to the Hotel that I was staying at. I cannot say enough about the way I was treated from the moment I arrived until the moment I left. The Customer Service was phenomenal (I'm sorry that I didn't get the name of the rep) and they did NOT gouge me on fixing my vehicle. I am so appreciative of the way they handled the entire situation and would recommend them in a heartbeat! read more

Northgate Ford Lincoln - 2014 Edge Sel - Car Dealers Near Me - Port Huron, Michigan

I own a 2010 Mercury Mariner that I purchased at Northgate Ford 5 years ago. I have a full extended warranty plan with 0 deductible. Over the past few months, the rear door was not latching properly. I could see that a piece of the latch was loose, and jamming at times. I was able to dislodge the jam a few times, but it began to happen more often. I dropped the vehicle off at Northgate Ford on Monday, June 29th. They called me on Tuesday June 30th, and told me they would need to authorize payment of $100 to even look at the vehicle. I explained that I had full extended warranty, and if this issue was covered by the warranty I should not be charged. They refused to look at the car until I authorized the $100 payment. I explained the problem and asked that they replace the rear door latch. I was called back a couple hours later and told "We've opened and closed it 30 times, and it closes just fine." I asked them to look closely at the latch, because there was clearly a loose piece of plastic that was torn and was causing the jam. I also explained that while the problem was intermittent, I clearly couldn't drive the car with a door not closed. She said they would look again. After not hearing from them, my Father called the dealer to find the status of the repair as he was going to pick up the car. They told him that there was nothing wrong, they weren't charging me, and he could come pick up the car. They never called me back to tell me this. The following Monday, the door latch jammed again, and this time, I could not fix the jam. It remained open. Given the very poor service I received, and their refusal to replace the latch, notwithstanding it being covered under the warranty, I took the car to a different dealer near my house. I took the car to Suburban Ford of Waterford. They did not charge me $100 to just look at the vehicle. They saw the door jam, and explained they could attempt to repair it, but because I had a zero deductible extended warranty, that it would safer to replace the latch. They had my car at 8:30am, and returned it to me by 4:30pm the next day. The warranty covered the replacement, and I was not charged. However, I was forced to waste 2 days of my time, and inconvenience other people because Northgate had failed to repair the problem the week before. Very frustrating situation....I would not have wasted my time taking a vehicle in to Northgate for repairs unless the situation was repeated, and getting worse. Rather than find a solution, they did nothing and spoke to me as though I was crazy because the door was closing for them. I will not be a customer at Northgate in the future. read more

I did a bit of homework on the Lincoln website and saw that this dealer had the car/interior that I was looking for. I phoned up and spoke to Todd Maclean & this guy knows Lincoln. Todd was friendly, efficient, incredibly helpful and most importantly knowledgeable and ever ready to find answers to any of my questions he couldnt personally answer. Thats what I want when I'm buying a new car. I dont want the hard sell or the fake friendship - just be honest & listen to what I want. Todd was a standout & his followup by email was second to none. read more

Terrible customer service. Took my vehicle there to get an estimate on replacing the water pump (it is a Flex so I knew it was going to be expensive). I was told it would be 100.00 just to look at it. Ok, fine. It would also be a week before they could look at it. Ok, fine. I called 2 weeks later and they said it had been looked at but they think it needs a new engine, but it will cost an additional 300.00 to be sure. I asked why and they explained this is normal with the flex that when the water pump fails it ruins the engine. I asked why I was not told that up front if it is something that normally happens. There was no good explanation. I authorized the 300.00. I had to keep calling back because I was not getting any phone calls from them on status. Finally, three weeks ago I was told the engine had to be replaced. They could do a new one for 8k or a used one for 5k. I told them no and to put the vehicle back together and I would come pick it up. I also contacted Ford to see if they would do something... they did not. I gave Northgate a week and a half, then went to pick it up. They did not have it back together because I contacted Ford. I asked fir them to put it back together and I would pick it up the following Saturday. I was told ok. My flight was late getting in so I had to pick it up Monday instead. I got there and it still was not done. I asked to see the service manager and his excuse was that it costs them money and I was getting a deal at 400.00. Really? I was then told I could pick it up the next day in the afternoon. I actually got a call the next morning telling me it was ready. This is the second time I have taken a vehicle to Northgate service. The first time I took my vehicle in and spent 2300.00 for them to tell me that they couldn't fix it, but still owed the 2300. Never again. 2700 over the past two years for two vehicles that dont work. Beware of this place. read more

I dropped off my vehicle (for the second time) to have a noise in the front suspension checked out on Monday evening last week. After the vehicle had been in the shop on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and most of the day Friday, I finally got my car back. In that time, they simply replaced the front control arms. Let me tell you about the time in between: - Not once did I receive a call FROM the service department (with one notable exception... we'll get to that). I called 2 or 3 times a day to inquire on the progress of the car. On Tuesday, I was told it would be done that evening. Then, in the evening, I was told it would be done before noon the next day. Then, around noon on Wednesday, I was told it would definitely be done before 5 that evening. At 5:15, I was told it would be done the next morning. On Thursday morning, they called me (the only time) to tell me they had made a mistake in determining the cost of the repair. Also, it wasn't done. And it wasn't going to get done til later that afternoon. That afternoon, I called back and they said it wasn't going to get done til late that evening, ready for pickup the next morning. I called the next morning, and guess what?!? It wasn't done. Again. I didn't drive off the lot with my car until 3:45 Friday. - I was told the parts and the labor were under warranty. Then, (the infamous Thursday call, the only time I received a call from the service department) I was told they made a mistake and that none of it was covered under warranty. Later that day, I was told that since they made the mistake, I was only going to be charged $100, as originally agreed upon. When I went in Friday to pick up the car, the person who told me it was only going to be $100 was not in and I was charged over $700. NEVER was I told how much the repairs were going to be BEFORE I walked in on Friday. I walked in blind to how much this might have been. - On Thursday, I was told the reason the car was not done was because they needed to replace the calipers. Then, when picking up the vehicle on Friday, the calipers were not replaced and they were unaware that they had said the calipers were being replaced. Overall, I am completely dissatisfied with the communication of the employees within the office, the communication of the service office to me, the customer, and completely am convinced that I was ripped off in the entire transaction. Please, if you need your car repaired, go ANYWHERE else. read more

Great body shop. Gary Willing is the best. Their work is amazing and i highly recommend this dealership.

I have given this dealership's service department a good college try for several months now. Here are my observations: Very nice waiting area. It is large, open, clean and very accommodating. They offer free coffee, water bottles, and usually some sort of snacks. The seating is very nice and comfortable and the tv (usually playing Fox News, which I appreciate) is clear and audible without being annoyingly loud. All of these accommodations are necessary because of the unfortunately large amount of time needed! This service department takes an extraordinarily large amount of time to serve even the smallest types of service. I am sitting in the waiting area at this moment waiting for my oil change to be completed. At this point, the clock is going on 2 Hours! However this is not an unfortunate one time occurrence due to an unforeseen emergency in the garage that might have regrettably increased the service time for me. No. I have now come in several times for simple services like this (oil change, tire rotation, etc.) and they all have taken this long (or longer)! This will be my last visit to Northgate Ford Service department. Sorry. read more

I had a very unfortunate visit while at Northgate. However, I was able to work closely with management and come up with a new policy that won't allow for the mishaps I experienced to happen to anyone else. While Northgate may have dropped the ball on my visit; they not only financially made up for it but procedurally made up for it as well. Kudos to Northgate for making everything right. I hope my insights help them moving forward. read more

Very disappointed. Vehicle stuck in area. Went to previous establishment but was relocated here because of ford warranty. Felt very much like a number. Small Honda dealership down the road made visit personal, my 1200$ meant nothing to this place. Very much felt like I took a number in a deli line. Per family who works at ford in engineering I was grossly overcharged. Additionally when I got my vehicle back the old parts and garbage was sitting on my seat. Very offended by this. I know the entire establishment was not bad, I had great customer service via phone when i called however the remainder of the staff was much less friendly. I plan on never going to this location for routine maintenance as long as it can be helped. I really hope this isn't representative of Ford as a whole. If that's the case I most definitely will be buying someplace else. read more

The absolute worst Ford Dealership that I have ever been to. My husband and I love Ford vehicles...we've had several and any issues have always been addressed at other Ford service departments (Bob Maxey and Hines Park were great). After recently moving to the Port Huron area, we received notice of 3 recalls on our 2015 vehicle. We made an appointment with Northgate Ford to get the recalls repaired along with 3 other issues...brakes, gas tank door, and a problem with the passenger door. My appointment was for a Wednesday. We did not hear a word from them until my husband showed up there Friday evening wondering what was going on. Come to find out...they did none of the repairs that we requested. The reason...apparently they didn't have the correct parts....THANKS FOR THE FOLLOW UP CALL. We have a large family and needed it for the weekend so they told us to go ahead and take it home and they advised that they would call us when the parts came in. Two weeks later we received a phone call and a post card from their Service Dept saying that the parts were in. My husband and I were going to be out of town for a week so we set it up to get repairs done while we were gone. We dropped the van off on a Friday afternoon and came back exactly one week later on Friday only to find out that they didn't even touch the vehicle. NOTHING was done....the funny part is that they tried telling my husband that they didn't have the parts. Then they told him to just go ahead and take it home...as if it were no big deal. In addition to this, they had removed parts from the door and gas tank area when I first brought it in there. When my husband asked for those parts to be put back in the vehicle, they claimed they couldn't find them. Please, don't waste your time going to this place for repairs. They do not care about their Customers. It would be worth the time and fuel to drive to the next county to avoid such a poorly run Service Department at Northgate Ford. Shame on you Northgate Ford service department. You've wasted so much of our time. We won't be back to your horrible business. Thanks for not caring. read more

I am happy there is a way to put in print a review of our recent visit to Northgate Ford. For years we have purchased FORDS - so we stopped in just to "look" and met with a young salesman Todd MacLean. His kind, fun and respectful personality connected with us and most important HE LISTENED to our needs and lifestyle. Following his suggestion we leased - for the first time. We are absolutely are comfortable with the beautiful WHITE PLATINUM, 2015, FORD ESCAPE. After driving the car for almost a year we received a reminder call it was time for an oil change and an overall vehicle check. We went back to Northgate Ford - we found without a doubt - that the company doesn't just focus on selling a car. We found the follow up service to be personal and professional. We enjoyed seeing Todd again - assuring us if we needed anything or had any concerns to stop in - SO he set the clock to the correct daylight saving time!!!! We would recommend before you make a vehicle purchase AT ANOTHER dealer you stop at NORTHGATE FORD LINCOLN. It is not just about the price you pay as you walk out the door - it is dependable service!!!! We feel so positive about our experience we want to suggest you stop by and see: Tom & Grace Wood. We recently bought our second car from Northgate Ford and were very impressed! We special ordered a 2016 Ford Explorer back in April and the dealership worked hard to ensure we were happy and that everything ran smoothly as we were coming from out of town to pick it up. Communication was wonderful and we felt that all of our requests were met. The dealership itself is extremely clean and everyone that worked there was very friendly! The owner (Tom Wood) went above and beyond to clean the car himself to ensure it was ready for us on pick up. We worked with Joe Wood, who always has exceeded in customer service and made us feel like the most important people that day! There was only 1 minor issue with the car when we picked it up and Joe and Tom corrected the issue and ensured we were 100% satisfied. As stressful and frustrating as buying a car can be, Northgate Ford takes all of that away and creates an experience that keeps you coming back. We will ONLY buy our cars from Northgate Ford, no matter where we live! Thank you Wood Family!!!!! read more

My experience with Northgate Ford has been horrible. First of all, I hit a deer back in December and had to get body work done to repair the front bumper and the hood. This experience alone is nerve-racking enough but when I got my car back the paint job was awful! There were swirl marks everywhere- it did not meet my expectations for a dealership that touts great quality service. After they repaired that, a couple of months passed and the paint on the hood scoop and front bumper began peeling off. I went back to Northgate to the body shop and showed them what was happening. They told me that there were problems with the bumper that was put on my car- others had the same issue with the paint peeling off. But they said that they would fix it for me. When I picked up my car this time- it was painted but there was over-spray on the bumper and spray stains on my hood. I took it thru the car wash to see if it was something that would just wash off but it didn't. On my third trip to the body shop they said that they would fix the over-spray and the other stains on my hood. However, when I asked Gary what the spray stains on my hood could be- he played stupid and said - uh... I dun know- maybe acid rain? Even with his ridiculous remark and failure to take ownership of the problem I gave him another shot at fixing it for me. Today I went to pick it up and to no surprise they had not fixed all of the areas that needed fixing. He kept taking it back into the shop but by the third time I was ready to go and extremely frustrated, especially when he began to blame me for the stains on my hood. While I appreciate their efforts- the quality of work performed at the Northgate Ford body shop is unacceptable. So, my advice for anyone contemplating on going to Northgate Ford on Pine Grove for anything is to keep looking- don't bother. read more
