(It goes out about every two years.) It's always been an easy, quick adjustment that I've had many time before from chiropractors in other areas, so I figured I could go in and quickly get it popped back into place. This time was different, though. I paid for the first visit and the Dr. listened to my concerns and then proceeded to do the most intense two adjustments I have ever experienced in over fifty years of receiving chiropractic work. I was stunned by how strongly he adjusted the hip and it hurt worse after the adjustment than before. I then said that I preferred motion palpation level adjustments (which are very gentle) and he then proceeded to give me an incredibly intense adjustment of my atlas and axis at the top of my neck....and, to be fair, this C!/C2 adjustment has lasted and I've had no further discomfort at the top of my cervical spine. OTOH, the hip adjustment hurt very badly for several days afterward--enough that it was extremely painful while trying to sleep for about five days afterward...and still bothers me at night a month later. The day after the adjustments I called the clinic and said I would have no further adjustments because the adjustments were so intense. Since it is now almost a month later and the hip is still tender and I have to protect it very carefully while sleeping, I'm writing a review because I feel I need to alert others about the intensity of the adjustments I received at Quality Chiropractic. I 've also had to change jobs at work on a couple different days because of hip tenderness and pain...and I still get occasional very sharp shots of pain. I cannot say that I'd recommend this practice to anyone, unless your idea of chiropractic is to get incredibly strong adjustments. I'm not happy to provide a negative review, but I really feel like people need to know what I experienced before they decide to try Quality Chiropractic.

I know that…read morechiropractors notoriously have the reputation for wanting to schedule an extensive amount of appointments so that they can make a lot of money off of you, but I was going into this appointment with a completely open mind, ready and willing to accept treatment. My first impression when I walked in came when I went to the desk, expecting to be given an all-inclusive form of my chronic and acute concerns/ medical conditions, and to hand them my insurance card. They did take my insurance card and scanned that in, but said I likely wouldn't decide to go through insurance; Dr. Ryley would go over that with me at a follow up appointment (which I found odd- why wouldn't we address payment plans at the first appointment?) After filling out the new-patient intake form, I was taken back to the room. This is when things got strange for me. Dr. Ryley didn't delve at all into my health history whatsoever. Apparently the fact that I have had chronic pain for 14 years was all of the information he needed to know to treat me. This time from meeting him to completion of the adjustment took all of 5 minutes... yes, 5 MINUTES. There was no rapport built, no interest into what has been causing my pain or how I ended up developing pain, or my medical conditions that play a role in my pain. I felt like just another person that was there to pay his bills. I then went to the desk and discovered only at this time that the 5 minute appointment would cost me $85. I ended up going back the following day, hoping that things would be different, but they weren't; still no rapport developed, still felt like I was just another source of income for them, and once again had to fork over $75 for a, maybe, 10 minute appointment. To top everything off, after going to the desk to checkout, I was asked to pay nearly $1400 up front to cover 30 appointments, or just pay per appointment, which was even more expensive. I'm honestly mind blown that this place still draws in and maintains customers. What a terrible experience. I cannot emphasize enough that people should completely avoid Rak Chiropractic.
