This is a very nicely decorated shop. I liked the Alpaca and the Granny Square horse they had on the way in. The room is very open and actually leads into an adjacent bookstore. The staff is quite friendly and knowledgeable about their products. They had many of the well known luxury yarns I have come to expect in better shops as well as some Local Wools from Minnesota Farms. If you knit, crochet, or are a kitten this place is well worth a stop on your next visit to Northfield. read more

If you knit or crochet, you have to stop by Northfield Yarn. It has the best selection of yarn in the area with lots of colors from many different companies. The shop stocks everything from acrylic to cashmere so it's easy to find a yarn you will love. Cynthia, Vanessa and the staff are very helpful and always have great suggestions for patterns, yarn and colors. As a relatively new knitter, I love going into the shop to look around, buy yarn, get help or advice on a project, take a class or just sit and knit with friends. read more
