This hotel is a little outside the downtown area, but in a town the size of Northfield that doesn't…read morereally matter. Before I booked at this property I read reviews of other hotels in the area. Apparently some other budget hotels are near railroad tracks, but I didn't hear any trains at the Super 8. The price is the most attractive aspect - the hotel is clean but basic. There is a breakfast buffet but it's nothing to get excited about. Directly opposite a side street is a restaurant so you don't have to go very far if you want a full meal. There is also a mini fridge and microwave in the room so if you're looking to travel cheap you can stock up at the Target or Cub Foods nearby and fix small meals in your room. I never could connect to the hotel's WiFi, but that's not too uncommon when traveling. I didn't call their tech support number; I assume they could have fixed if I wanted to fiddle around. I have mobile broadband so I just used that. My room had a recliner chair! While it wasn't a Lazy-Boy it was clean and comfortable to relax in. As is the case with many hotels, the desk is tucked into a corner and not especially inviting. I suppose if I wanted to focus on work the desk arrangement would be desirable. Plenty of parking, rooms that are appropriate for the price and convenient to everything in town says it all. The front desk staff were all very friendly and made me feel welcome. Bottom line: This is the place to stay if you are on a budget.

One star because I have to. An absolute Zero Star murder hole.. Room reeked of cigarettes. There…read morewas at least one blood stain on the bathroom floor along with other unknown stains. The carpet had weird crusty spots. The mattress had a blotchy black spot discovered while checking for bed bugs (pro; no bed bugs found!). Room 120 was next to room 108. Not bad, but a weird sign of how shitty this is. The safety bar was missing. The door to the neighboring room was sketchy. The neighbors had a yippy dog. The walls were thin. Cleaned a door handle with a bleach wipe and it came off brown. We considered sleeping in our van. Just wasted the money and called it a dope tax. We left and went to the AmericIInn down the road. The nice clerk at the new hotel said she's heard nothing good about Coratell. Do not be fooled. Holy crap. Stay anywhere else. Sleep in your car in the Target parking lot before giving this place a chance to take your money and kill your soul. This is a gateway to hell. Where's Buffy when you need her?
