Not good. not good at all. James was very unhelpful. Just awful. Lawyers contacted me about joining the class action lawsuit. The word "scam" came up several times, as well as "fraudulent", "fraud", "fly-by-night" and "your bank account may have been compromised." When I called to close my account, the account manager used the words "shit out of luck" at least once. read more

Worse company ever I would advise anyone in contract with them close your bank account and open a new one. A pain in the ass yes but worth it in the long run. A bunch of people answering phones with an 8 th grade education. Scammers. Close your bank accounts and let them try to sue you. Better then giving them $1000's for a $200 machine. Hope they all get brain cancer and die slowly and painfully. read more

This company is a total scam. They claim I owe them money from a contract going back 12 years... which they never proved to me it existed. I Asked for proof and they refused. I told them I would file a FOIA action and they said go ahead. They keep calling and sending USPS mail tell me I have 48 hours to remit payment. Totally a scam company. I don't have to say much more than what's already been stated by everybody else who has reviewed Northern Leasing. I just want to provide a little more information about what this company does. Obviously their name is worthless and anybody who searches their company history will run far far away but they're like cockroaches and will always find a way to survive. They create new entities and pose as credit card processing companies providing unheard of rates and tricking you into signing up for credit card machine leases through these new entities. The contract will be through the new entity but the real company behind these leases will be Northern Leasing. There is a class action lawsuit against Northern Leasing going on as of 10-24-18 for fraudulently signing up customers to their outrageous leases so please add your name to the lawsuit to get back what you deserve. read more

Nope,big mistake. Never ever,ever should've signed. Please look at other company's. I wish I would've done research.

Northern leasing systems has been calling me repeatedly, telling me that they're filing a lawsuit against me. I'm not a business owner. I have not borrowed or leased any sort of equipment from anybody. I don't know what in the world they're contacting me about. I feel like this is all a big scam. I was able to match the phone number to the business through multiple website searches across several different search engines. I received several voicemails in the past few weeks from them. The reps all identify themselves as being with northern leasing systems. They keep telling me that there's a lawsuit against me and that it will be filed in the next 48 hours unless I contact them immediately. I do not know if this has happened to anyone else, with all the calls and voice mails. To say the least it's very annoying. I'd actually never heard of this company until I began receiving their dang voice mails. Ugghhhh. Too bad you can't give 0 stars!!! read more

When I looked up North American Processing Systems for scams, I found none. I felt maybe this actually was a decent company to work with for our merchant services. I was horribly wrong. They are just a shell sales organization, designed to hide the real company, Northern Leasing Systems in New York (which if you look them up, tons of scams and 1-star reviews pull up). I wanted to cancel our contract because of non-performance on their behalf. They didn't set the machine up with the correct software, so we weren't able to use the machine for a few weeks. When the tried to fix the machine, they couldn't. They promised to send someone over with a new one, but never did. To this day, I'm not sure what we've actually been charged, because I haven't received a statement, and I was told by one of the reps (when I questioned them about my bank statement) they are charging a $10.00 fee for payment statements that I haven't received. I told them I would go online to look at them (Quickbooks Merchant Services allows me to do that), but when they sent me the links, the links did not work, or the password I just updated would fail. I cannot access the online system! They never set up auto-batching, so all of our credit card transactions were lost when they tried to update the softawre on the equipment. I specifically asked if that would erase my current transactions, and they said no (wrong! I'm still trying to get paid from customers who are frustrated that they provided payment, and now I'm coming back to say I need it again). They didn't get the insurance I sent in 3 times, and are still charging me $4.95 per month. I was told if I wasn't satisfied, I could cancel at any time and pay a $150 fee. When I called to do that, they said it would be $2200 (the entire lease payment) or I could transfer the service to someone else (as if - I want to transfer crummy service to someone). read more

Beware, beware, beware, beware of this company! The are the biggest scammers ever!!!!!!!!!!!! As a business owner, I signed a contract with a merchant services company (credit card processing) and they worked hand in hand with Northern Leasing. They apparently signed me up for 2 machines, when I only needed one, and I paid for both of them for the past 3 years. THAT'S 180 BUCKS A MONTH!!! All for a machine I can buy for $600. Now my lease is ending, so I called to try and find out how to cancel my business with their unethical company, and I found out about the second machine. If you are a small business owner, ALWAYS READ YOUR CONTRACT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No matter how long it takes, or how pressured the salesman is being. Let 'em wait! This is your money on the line. If they are pressuring you too much, they probably don't WANT you to read the fine print. There is a reason people. read more

Also known as MBF Leasing Previously. I started working for father's small business in the last two years only to find out that he had paid $5700+ to lease processing equipment that was bundled into his CC processing contract. You can buy this equipment for $157 out the door. When I asked for the address to send the equipment back I got lip service. No less than 10: "What do I have to do to get an address to send this equipment back" pleas, I finally got the address which is on their website anyway. This is the biggest scam ever perpetrated on small businesses. I don't know how these guys are even in business still. Hopefully, they are in litigation with some big lawsuits. read more

This company dedicates itself to SCAMMING you and have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! After the "buyout" we are still getting debited charges that claim are "taxes" and other "fees". I would STRONGLY recommend anyone to NOT have any dealings whatsoever with Northern Leasing. They are underhanded, rude, and very under the table sly. We have leased equipment from Northern Leasing for 4 years and at the end of the term when we called to cancel, it was a horrible experience. AND they end up charging us another month, a restocking fee (which the equipment is 4 years old and pretty well obsolete now) AND charging us to return the obsolete equipment. They give New York and New Jersey bad names. I will not ever do business with them again and recommend every business person to avoid the same mistake I did. Stay away from Northern Leasing!! Now, this is a story ALL ABOUT HOW MY LIFE GOT FLIPPED-TURNED UPSIDE DOWN, and I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there, and I'll tell you HOW we lost thousands of dollars. We began working with Northern Leasing through Platinum One LLC from Brookfield, WI. Platinum One LLC offers in-house payment program services - however, they do NOT provide the equipment necessary to process such transactions. Instead, they set us up with this worthless company to lease POS equipment. As a separate company, we were required to pay separate fees. We initially agreed on $109 per month for the next 4 years. BUT of course they failed to mention that insurance, tax, invoice fees AND an annual fee were not included in the amount we had agreed upon. These extra charges increased my monthly payment to $140, resulting in a grand total of $6,720 after the four year term. Come to find out, after some research, the total cost of the POS equipment is roughly about $350 online! RIP OFF! Story continues. After six months, not a single client, out of several that applied for financing, were approved by Platinum One LLC. This of course resulted in our inability to make any use of the POS equipment. I decided to cancel services with Platinum One LLC, as they were of no service to me or my clients. When I asked them what I should do about the unused equipment, they basically said "Not our problem." Needless to say, we took action against this company. We hired a lawyer for about $1,500 and ended up regretting that as well. The lawyer was not very helpful and wasn't able to achieve what we wanted. I decided to call Northern Leasing in hopes of coming to some sort of FAIR agreement. Little did I know, this call was going to cost me MORE than just a headache. At this point, we had been paying $140/per month for about 20 months. After several conversations with a number of different representatives, we were not able to come up with an agreement that would benefit both parties. We eventually stopped making payments and after a period of time, Northern leasing took notice. We began receiving letters in the mail and numerous calls. Almost every single representative that called was extremely rude and offensive. They threatened us with a law suit and simply refused to figure out some sort of agreement. I tried getting a hold of couple lawyers at this point, but had no luck and was getting nowhere fast. I decided to try Northern Leasing ONE last time. So I called and requested a buyout. Keep in mind, I had already paid this company WELL OVER $2,800 for some POS equipment that was still new in a box - UNTOUCHED! I spoke to a few representatives in their "Collections Department" and finally ended up with Herbert. NOW this guys is as BAD as it gets. But did I really expect anything different? NO. We started at about $4,000 for the buy-out - and here was his "deal" - if I returned the POS equipment, I would ONLY be required to pay $3,500! WHAT!? CRAZY!! This back and forth discussion went on for weeks! Herbert made it so difficult for us to come to a "fair agreement." He was extremely difficult to speak with and absolutely rude and condescending. In the end, I was able to miraculously get the price down to $2,800. I just wanted out. I didn't want to deal with a lawsuit or damage my good credit any more than what they had already done. I made the payment - which I still feel was completely UNJUST and finally ended the relationship with this despicable company. NEVER AGAIN. Thanks for helping small businesses of America. You should be ashamed. Bottom line, they are liars, thieves, and will slowly screw you while you're paying them to do so. NOT TO BE TRUSTED, DIRTY OWNERSHIP, DIRTY COMPANY, STAY AWAY! read more

I am an amazingly compassionate person who puts herself last in order to help others so when I get majorly screwed up the "arse" it shocks me beyond belief. I own a non-profit company and a community acupuncture clinic offering $20 treatments. I have spent a majority of my life giving back to others. Sadly I cannot say the same for either Bancard Payment Systems or Northern Leasing Company. I beg you NOT to use either of these companies unless you want to pay a month's worth of your wages directly to THEM. I signed up with Bancard a year and a half ago. I signed a 3 year contract. I was new to business, this was my first brick and mortar and I had no idea how to get a credit card machine. Now I realize I should have waited until I knew more - my bad. Bancard was recommended by my neighbor, also in business. So I got the machine and signed the paperwork. Stupid me for not paying $1500 to hire a lawyer to read through the paperwork to see what I was signing, but who has the capitol for that and who goes into something like this ever thinking they're going to get screwed? The machine from Northern Leasing Company never accepted debit cards, which lost me a lot of money since debit cards have a much lower percentage rate that's taken out. This should have been the first sign of something fishy but again, I was green and knew nothing. I am the exact person these people pray upon. I explained to Bancard that I had a 3 year office lease so figured a 3 year contract would be fine. Little did I know - actually I DIDN'T know at all that the company they sent me to to lease my machine from - NORTHERN LEASING COMPANY - would charge me $1200 over a period of FOUR YEARS for a $300 machine!! YES you read correctly. Recently my bank offered me a FREE machine with --- no contract that does accept debit cards and that offers free local support!!! Being a very small business that's barely making ends meet and only in it to help the "little guy" I jumped. However Bancard charged me $400 for breaking my lease 6 months early and Northern Leasing is charging me over $800 for the next year and a half when I won't be using their machine at all. I called both companies but neither were willing to work with me - "there's nothing we can do, you signed the contract" -- BEWARE OF THESE COMPANIES WHO ARE NOT OUT TO HELP SMALL BUSINESSES - THEY ARE HERE TO GAUGE YOU OUT OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!! :( Shame on them both. When I called Northern Leasing back to get their address to write this review the first customer service representative actually HUNG UP ON ME!!! Way to go customer service! That's how you make an already disgruntled client supremely upset :( Please do your own due diligence and go to your bank or a credit union or a huge number of other credit card companies - I even received a postcard in the mail just yesterday for a "FREE CREDIT CARD TERMINAL" from another company. NEVER EVER LEASE A CREDIT CARD MACHINE!!! In the end I now own a $2,000 piece of plastic landfill junk :( - If we all boycott unfair leasing these companies will be forced out of business, which is a very good thing. read more

They charged me a $150 restocking free for a credit card machine that was antiquated and not irreparable. Then, once they received the equipment, they claimed that it wasn't the equipment that they sent me 5 years before and that I would have to continue to paying lease payments until I could return the appropriate equipment. Funny thing is that the only equipment that I ever used in that location was the equipment that I returned to them. It's unfortunate I am required to give 1 star. Do not walk away from this company, RUN!!! This company is such a scam! We have not used their equipment in YEARS, but nobody in the office could figure out where the equipment was initially generated from, because they do not send ANY information once you sign up, no updates, no contact. We literally had no clue who to send the equipment back to. FFWD to the passing of the owner of the company, upon accessing bank files we see a recurring monthly charge that was buried. They continued to charge $100 a month for an account we weren't aware needed closed. They refused to return any of the monies for the previous years which is one thing, but then they REFUSED to return anything even with proof of the death certificate or even proof that the practice was sold! How terrible can your business model be to even refuse funds when a person passes?! The best part was, every person I spoke with in the Asset management department were uneducated and had terrible customer service skills. I called several times trying to access a manager or any form of upper management in the company and they made it known that "they do not field phone calls." I didn't want them to filed the call, I wanted to speak to someone with at least half a brain that could assess the account and the situation I am trying to deal with. They then told me I could file a complaint via e-mail and someone would get back to me, so I did. They responded promptly, but it was not management, again, it was a bottom of the totem pole employee in the same call center I had placed numerous calls to previously. They will not work with you, but they will take all of your money, even after you pass away. Stay far away from this company. read more
