Recently received a letter from Fora Financial stating that because we were approved for a paycheck protection loan from Capital Plus Financial we may qualify for financing up to 55,200 dollars. Fora states in a caring manner how the protection loan just isn't enough so many businesses need more money due to COVID. Never once is a monthly minimum balance in your account spoke of. But just like Capital Plus Financial that did approve my wife they never gave us the loan, just kept it, maybe spent it at a Casino. We felt discriminated against. Fora Financial is no different. They don't give a hoot like they try to play. We did not qualify for a loan from this so caring institution because we didn't make 15000 a month. Not only does the letter they sent us say of any minimum but they too discriminate. When you get down to the whole ball of wax it's all about money in their pocket. read more

Im disappointed in the tactics the company uses. I was given notice of two approvals; one was an advance with a daily payback and I had specifically told the account manager David that I wasn't interested in that type of payback, the second was exactly what I had asked for; a weekly payback with a cap I could work with. I asked very specific questions to be sure it would work and he went back to the underwriter to clarify. Ultimately I discussed it with my wife and we agreed we could do it do I accepted the offer. We forwarded our identity documents and a voided check. Then they sent the loan documents through e-sign, I was reluctant to go forward because it asked for my log in I D and password to my bank account and the answer to my secret verify question ( not for ME to log in but to type all this information on the application and I'm nervous of stuff like that) . I went ahead and sent it but then was feeling uneasy so I went through their reviews. I read a lot about them switching the approval after the documents were signed so I almost expected what happened next. I received an email first thing in the morning notifying me that the underwriter didn't like the deal we had agreed to anymore and now They were forwarding documents with the daily payoff that I had expressed I wasn't interested in from the beginning. No harm no foul accept It wasted my time and I gave out all my confidential account info. I declined the offer and told David that I wasn't satisfied with the the way he switched the approval and it was unprofessional not to mention I gave out all my confidential information to my bank. His reply was " you don't need the capital ?" and " You can change all your log in information " so the answer is no I don't need that kind of capital. Now, I wil need to change all the log in information to my account. I guess they thought we were desperate and the bait and switch would work and had I not read the reviews I might of just agreed after the time and energy involved so I'm thankful for those reviews and I am leaving this review so that you are aware of the tactics they use and are prepared like I was. VERY POOR EXPERIENCE. They're a bait & switch company. They offer you one thing and then you call you back the next day with a lower offer. My rep 'AJ' asked me more questions about who else I was applying with than he asked about my actual business. They were using me for competitor research more than they were trying to help me get funding. I got much better service and and much better loan offers from companies like United Source Capital, Fast Capital, & Clarify Capital. Go with one of them instead. read more

I think I was mostly upset that I even considered using Fora Financial to help me with something I could most likely help myself out with using a more thought out plan and not incur another debt and without the strings attached. Knowing the full terms up front is what's most important to me and when someone tells me that I am approved and have me sign contacts only to tell me moments before funds are to be transferred that they cannot do so because I am no longer approved is unacceptable. They literally wasted a half day of my time that I could have been doing something more productive. I would rather consider using a Fora competitor who tells me the terms and whether or not I qualify upfront (and even if I didn't qualify, I would still use that competitor in the future when I did) than to EVER consider using Fora Financial for ANYTHING in the future. Shimul was very nice and so this review is not about his customer service skills as they were acceptable, but I was literally contacted by him and 2 other representatives for several months (after receiving a mailer) via MANY phone calls and emails to try them out and when I did.....I was really disappointed! I borrowed 10,000 at got charged over 4k for 6 months. That's 80% interest. $71 a day is being taken out of my account. I've been in touch with them and the told me 21/2 weeks ago to submit info to a 3rd party so they could see my account transactions. They have done nothing but delay contact with me and continue to drain my account. They never even looked at my bank account. My business has fallen off by 80% and stimulus money from the SBA is a mess with no relief in sight. I'm willing to bet they get stimulus money and don't do anything but keep it. Just spoke to this company- they sent me a "prequalified letter" for up to $250,000.I guess they got the info from an SBA 7a loan database. Anyway, when I spoke to them I could here the boiler room noise in the background- never a good sign :) Bottom line- they quoted me a "factor" that I was paying back with the loan- equates to over 25% for just a 9 month short term note paid daily- you're kidding me right? How desperate do you have to be to borrow from these guys? Anyway, I declined, said no thank you & hung up- and was subsequently called back by 3 different guys(sounded like same guy using different names) asking for me by name and then hanging up on me- looking forward reading about the sure to occur SEC, FTC, or FBI investigation. These people literally call me every 2-3 weeks. One time I got called twice within a matter of hours. How the heck did they even get my cell number? They call both my cell AND my business line. Not only that, I receive snail mail saying I got pre-approved for a loan. I never once applied for a loan with them. Adding insult to injury, they send me faxes too. I have no idea how these people got my fax number. Thank God I don't have an email because I'm pretty sure these people will send me spam as well. I asked them multiple times to TAKE ME OFF THEIR LIST. Obviously, they do not listen. After doing some research on this company and others like it... it sounds very much like a boiler room. How do I know? Because when they called, I can hear people screaming and cursing in the background, just like the movie Boiler Room(watch it). No I do not need a business loan that charges a 40 percent interest rate??! Is this even legal? The government seriously needs to regulate these type of loans. Regardless, my business is doing just fine and I tell them that. Yet I still get calls. There is a fine line between running a business ethically and completely disregarding a simple request. If someone asks you to take me off the list, YOU NEED TO DO THAT. It's simple. How would you feel if I called your cell phone every other week asking you to buy something that you absolutely do not need? It would drive you crazy right? Anyone who is thinking about getting a short term business loan needs to do research. There are plenty of companies out there that charge 15-20 percent, which is still high but not as astronomically high like 40-50 percent. Do everything you can with a traditional bank before you take out a loan with any of these type of companies. read more

However after dealing with different companies that provide these types of loans, I'm glad that Mark and Joe convince me to switch with them, since I was literally minutes from funding with another lender. Most of their promises were fulfilled. The terms changed but overall they worked with me to help me save a significant amount of money. All my emails and calls were always answered and the owner and one of the analyst gave me their personal cell phone numbers. First off if I could put 0 stars I would. Let me just say I'm not one of the people who are unhappy because they didn't get their funds. I was approved fairly quickly after the 3 statements was sent in but as the process got to the end something just wasn't right. Constant nagging about finishing the loan ( hello I have other things in my life ) while busy trying to do taxes , and run a buisness. Then the questions came " how does your Acount look since we approved you?" Get out of here. I was solicited by you guys , didn't really need the funds , and yet you approve me , and then start getting skeptical of me? Kyle eagen was my reps ( which btw I'm sure is not their real names) name , and he was nice enough but very pushy , and unprofessional. In the end they try to hit you with fees upwards of 1,000.00 just to finish the loan. When I complained they immediately cut that amount to half. This is a high margins loan , and although I feel like I negotiated a fair price I knew they would find a way to increase their revenue. Listen if you are desperate , and need the money , and show good revenue you may get funds here but you would probably be better going to a local bank or trying to get on shark tank before actually doing buisness with a shady company like this. I'm just waiting for them to pass my info off to other deadbeat companies such as themselves , and have retained my lawyer , and showed him their brochure full of false advertising just to be safe. Bottom line get a local bank , and they will take care of you better. read more

Be careful with the documents you signed while closing the loans, they are not the direct financiers you are going to deal with, there are hundreds of agents or companies that you get call from who identify themselves as funding company, until the loan is finalized. I have very bad experience with them, i am still having a current account with them and paying back their loan. But they have screwed me be very badly. I took loan from company called western-capital funding and the financing organization was Fora(which i was not aware till lately). I used to get my money from credit card processing company next day with in 24 hours, after taking a loan from them they created a lock box account to take their % of money back first and them release the remaining. They were holding back my money for more than 4 days a week. I used to get my Thursday, Friday, Sat, Sun money on next week Wed. So u will not have access to your money for almost 4 days. When i try to contact them i did not knew who to contact, there were number of layers. Westerncapital----ForaFinancial--- Smith processesing--- ABC bank. They are charging me fees which i am still not aware of and i don't to who to ask for, because there no proper channel of communication. So this information is for anyone who are planning to avail loan, find out everything before u sign any paper work with them. It is always better to get a loan from a recognized financial organization if you have option avilable. read more

I expected the entire process to drag on for a few weeks with nonstop paperwork requests, but I was pleasantly surprised how Fora was able to turn it around within a week! Do expect to submit paperwork - bank statements, soft credit pulls etc. At the end of the day both parties are taking huge risks so doesn't surprise me they requested all that info. If i had any reservations about submitting personal info I'd just walk away, but guess what, you won't find another lender who won't ask for the same stuff. My rates were high but I expected that as well. read through a lot of reviews and it seems like everyone's ranting about high rates etc. If you don't like the rates just walk away find someone else who can offer a lower rate (good luck if you have miserable credit, missed payments, low on cash etc.) My credit score was slightly on the lower end but they still funded me although at a slightly higher rate. These guys are short term lenders so if you're looking for a 5 yr loan look elsewhere. If you're like me who needs funds for a short term project/expense these guys are the real deal. A lot also depends on the rep you're working with. Thankfully my rep was A grade awesome - Chris was available even after work hours answering my emails and keeping me posted all along. I opened an account with this organization. Putting a peel back on a hard boiled egg would have been easier! We did get the deal done but they over charged me by more than $700! Turns out that getting that money back is the only thing harder than opening the account. I have been promised that the money would be bank wired into my account but nothing.
