This is a very cute, small coffee shop close by a gas station! When we arrived, the barista was very patient and helpful with recommendations for drinks that we may enjoy. Our drinks were absolutely delicious -- this may be my favorite matcha that someone has made! It was the perfect blend between and iced matcha latte and French vanilla. Stopped by today to get 3 coffees, first time here, Cute stand, service was not so good. The sign said the barista was Erica, (10;45 am ) she was very unfriendly, actually rude! I get that sometimes people have bad days, but leave it at home. I still tipped 1$ , for 3 drinks I usually tip 5 $ but today I could not justify 5$ for her rude service, She even shut her window loud before I even pulled out. ( I would say slam but then again it was not me closing that window without even a thank you ) Hope her attitude changes. read more

Nice drive-thru coffee place in Bothell near a gas station. I was a bit apprehensive at first because a lot of the drive-thru places I've been to in the greater Seattle area use an instant coffee mix. But everything was made fresh with a machine. They have tried and true things like lattes and mochas but also have fun drinks like almond joy. read more

I wasn't going to let it bug me. But it still does. The last time I visited this stand was in November 2019. I ordered a tall americano with cream. But this price I was charged confused me. Do I asked the barista why it seems like it cost so much? She explained that the sugary beverage tax was going into affect in 2020 and they're getting a head start on it. First of all. A head start? Really? Secondly. This is coffee not a soda (I was told coffee fall under the tax) Third of all. I can't find anyone else charging this tax outside of Seattle City Limits. This website breaks down taxes for Bothell http://www.salestaxstates.com/sales-tax-calculator-washington-bothell If I'm not understanding this clearly, I apologize. Other wise this is stealing. Located in the Chevron parking lot, Northern Espresso has been established for a few years now and is a solid option for drive-thru coffee stands in the area (and one of the few left on this strip with the huge 522 construction project going on..as well as one of the few that is not "titty coffee") Reasonable prices, standard array of extra treats, daily happy hours (all drinks $3) and relatively easy access. read more

Don't let the location in a gas station put you off, this is a great place to go. Good coffee and great baristas. The owner is a very nice person and even knows some of my family by name, and she seems to hire employees as friendly as she is. Add to this that they have a few unique drinks my wife and daughter love, their great prices, and their proximity to my house, and this is an easy choice as my regular drive through coffee chop. The barista was super friendly and also offered me a few ice cubes to go into my just-black drink with the warning that if not -- it would be insanely hot. With the ice cubes it was perfect and great quality. And I'm a bit of a coffee snob too. Bonus points it's in the parking lot with the gas station If you and your car both need fuel at the same time. I also got a blueberry scone, it was really good If you're into sweet scones! Great pricing too! With my order and tip it was still cheaper than going to starbucks. Andrew and I go here 4 or more days a week and love their coffee! The baristas are all very kind and make our drinks right every time, we get everything from drip, lattes, mochas, red bull chargers, to Americanos.
