Very bizarre garage, found a car I would like to buy but when asked to test drive the car they said…read more"no, it needs some work and I'm not repairing it unless you but it first" Needless to say I took my £3000 elsewhere, very strange and dishonest attitude, the salesman (mark) said they had so many people falling over themselves to buy cars without test driving them that he did not need our business?! Avoid unless your spend £3000 without driving the car you would like to buy

Please think twice before buying from Oakwood car sales, In Nov 2014 I brought a Land Rover…read morefreelander on the strength that it had an RAC warranty, I took delivery of the car on the back of the RAC warrenty as I felt confident in the RAC brand and trusted it. I had nothing but trouble with the car,and took it to a reputable dealer who check out the Land rover, it turned out to have many many faults and problems in fact the report stated it was the worse Land rover they had seen in a long while, I was very disappointed and angry that I had been deceived by Oakwood Garage. Craig and the owner Mikey said they would give me a full refund on the back of the damming report, and tricked me into returning the car, once back with them, they refused a refund, and held me to ransom stating they would fix a few minor problems, and I was with out a car and they had my money, so in the end I agreed as I was in a no win situation. Its fair to say at this point I contacted the RAC to be told they had cancelled the policy so no recall there, in the end I had to accept the car back with a few things sorted out, but realising I had been conned and was out of pocket. What they do is sell cheap on the internet, draw you in on the RAC rubbish and then sell you a duff car with all kinds of problems, very dis honest business.
I bought an 8 year old car from this little garage 3 years ago. Since then, everytime I got problem…read morewith my car, the owner of the business always try to help and fix the problem. They have got excellent after sales service. I have never known a little garage with this kind of commitment to their customers. The price of their cars are always reasonably good value as well. The cars they sell are not bad quality either. The mechanics are extremely helpful and nice as well. When they fix any problem of my car, they always try to minimise the cost of repairing it, which saves me money as well. Overall, I would recommend this garage.

I located this car dealer from auto trader who sold second hand cars. I had bought a car from them…read morewith the assurance that everything was working fine. I was just after a reliable cheap to run car. The car was a 1999 Nissan Almera. You don't expect the car to be perfect but if the dealer says it has been "workshop checked" then everything should be o.k. The car was sold with potentially fatal faults, the drive shaft boots on the front of the car were split which could cause the wheels to lock up. The front tyres were also worn down to the legal limit and had to be replaced. I had the car for less than 2 weeks, so I phoned to enquire about the faults. The manager phoned me back he said "All our cars don't come with a warranty, the car was running fine when we sold it" The car was also only getting around 20 miles per gallon which for a 1.4 engine on the open road is pretty poor. When I asked him about this he said " Its normal mpg for that type of car, you might want to change the spark plugs and air filter". The fault for this turned out to be the front brake sticking on one side. It sounded to me like he wasn't really interested, now that he had taken money for the car. I have now had to have the car repaired to make it safe to drive, at a different garage. The cost was an extra £200 on top of what I already paid. This included Tyres, Drive shaft boots, brake parts, and labour charges. I also had to apply for V5 registration document myself because they did not send off for it. I will be selling the car soon, as it has cost far too much money already. This is the first time I have written a review, and normally I let little things go, but if you spend so much of your hard earned money for a service which is poor, you have to let other people know. I would advise to check a car thoroughly if you intend to buy from this dealer, and walk away if there are any signs of faults, because they will not help you after you have bought the car..

Bitter? Not at all,I love spending over £12 000.00 for the privilege of being treated like sh*t. Stay well clear of these con merchants.

The form he filled in discussed things like, do we have breakdown cover, what insurance we had, etc, NOTHING about the car. I was uneasy about signing the form, to which the salesman Gareth, told us he couldn't discuss anything unless we signed it. It appeared to me that it was a way for them to gather info about us to perhaps sell to 3rd party companies. I explained my unease at signing it and he said "I'm not buying that, just sign it" They offered us £2500 less for our part ex than a garage about 1/4 mile away. Each garage had a similar car and price that we wanted. We bought from he other Garage. The attitude of Henson staff is horrible, bullyboy tactics and one to keep well away from.
