I tracked him down at Wells Fargo in Pennsylvania. Initially, I wasn't sure how the long distance relationship would work given the three-hour time difference; however, I quickly realized this was a non issue since Jon keeps himself available for his clients no matter what time of day it is for him. Since my best time was usually between 5-7 p.m., we ended up with a few late nights for him. He was always so gracious and professional. Jon really worked tirelessly to not only get my loan approved at a great interest rate and make sure we were proactive in getting everything submitted, he also moved heaven and earth to ensure I would close by the end of the year. This was a challenging, drawn out short sale - not an easy endeavor for him, yet Jon prevailed and thanks to him and my awesome realtor, Cindy Marty, I now live in an incredible home. I highly recommend Jon. If you want a sharp, dedicated consultant who looks after your best interests, goes above and beyond for you and is very responsive, he is your guy.

We started with a fixer-upper last summer and Jon referred me to a 203k loan specialist since the house needed major work. Despite not handling the loan process, Jon checked up to see how we were progressing. After deciding the house would not retain the value after the needed renovations, we went back to looking for a house. The new house was found in January 2013 and we had a May 2013 closing, which was unusual but Jon was with us the entire time. Then one month before closing I lost my job and the mortgage was on the rocks because we were keeping our previous home as a rental. Jon was very cautious but gave great advice and attention during this process... and we qualified just the same. Jon's biggest asset is his ability to calmly explain things and keep on top of the whole process -- while juggling other clients. We always felt as if we were Jon's ONLY client.

As was the case when I was on the market as a buyer, Rachel is easy to work with and very knowledgeable about the market and the neighborhood. I really appreciated that she was transparent about the how/why of her pricing recommendations and listing strategy (taking the time to talk through every detail if that's what I needed) and I trusted her completely. A few other 'perks' that I didn't realize to look for in a realtor but were invaluable in my house selling experience: - Rachel has been doing this a long time, and has incredible insight on what types of updates to consider/prioritize that will increase the value and interest in the house (which was very helpful for me because my house needed some major refreshing, but with a very tight budget) - she has a list of recommended trades persons for any work you need to hire for (and will even recommend different shades of white paint for that fresh coat that you may want to apply before listing!) - she is SO responsive! No waiting around for a reply when you have a question/concern/need... she gets back so quickly and manages to thoroughly address the question/concern/need in the simplest way. - she is approachable and easy to work with, and also really savvy and strategic on getting the best possible outcome for her client I loved working with Rachel, and highly recommend her and the Philly Home Girls team for your real estate needs! An all-around positive (and successful!! she got my house sold so quickly, and over asking!) experience!

My experience with NVR Mortgage was nothing short of a complete disaster. From the very beginning…read moreof my home-buying journey, I had an inkling that things might not go smoothly. Little did I know just how bad it would get. I would like to preface this by stating if you are a consultant or have worked as a consultant in the last two years, you will get denied by NVR. They are a super, super conservative lender and they will drag your loan process for months because they are too timid to reject people. Communication was the first red flag. It was virtually non-existent. I often had to reach out to them multiple times to get a response, and when they finally did reply, the information provided was often incomplete or contradictory. It felt like pulling teeth to get a straight answer from anyone at NVR Mortgage. The staff, or lack thereof, was another major issue. They seemed disinterested and unprofessional. I encountered unhelpful and even rude individuals throughout the process. It was as if they had no concept of customer service, let alone the significance of purchasing a home. I provided them feedback on how they can improve, in which, the mortgage officer started to get upset at me. As a first time homebuyer, I was lost through the entire process and had to research on my own. But perhaps the most unforgivable aspect of dealing with NVR Mortgage was the sheer incompetence that permeated every step of the process. Errors and delays were the norm, not the exception. My loan documents were mishandled, leading to critical mistakes that caused unnecessary hold-ups. The entire ordeal dragged on for far longer than it should have due to their blunders. They harassed my employers and I everyday for three weeks. I was denied two days before closing by their incompetent staff, and their reasoning: a pay increase I received this year, which was absolutely absurd. To anyone considering working with NVR Mortgage Company, my advice is simple: run, don't walk, away from them. The stress and headache they will cause are not worth any potential savings or convenience. There are far better and more reputable mortgage companies out there, and NVR Mortgage is certainly not one of them; NVR is an embarrassment. This was a harrowing experience that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, and I strongly advise anyone to steer clear of this company. It is quite unfortunate that Ryan Homes is associated with NVR. Perhaps they should look at other lenders to work with.
