It is a little sad that the building used to be a US Post Office, like some sort of backwards adaptive reuse reflecting the decline of the neighborhood. The beer selection is superb. They even have a pail as you exit to trade one of your bottles for a bottle already there. This way you don't have to buy a 12 pack you don't like. That's totally awesome Here I learned that there's a law coming down that will allow 6 packs of beer to be sold. That's great especially since I'm not from Philadelphia and I thought it odd that I had to buy a 12 pack of beer when I only wanted a 6 pack.

I did not have another to offer but the beer was cold we persevered. I brought beer back to let them know of my problem. Yes, 7 beers either consumed or we discarded from the case of 24. Long story short,the mgr offered no help and he cross examed me as to my honesty. He offered me no compromise, nothing. He walked away. I can tell you, with 25 years in the wine and spirits industry, distributers replace bad product or breakers with no problem. Buyer beware. A very poor business model. I love that their craft beer section is separated by state so if you like to travel across the US like me, you'll probably find some buys that remind you of your favorite trip. I'm pretty sure it's family owned and operated too. They also are really improving their selection, particularly with craft beers. I haven't gone to a lot of other local distributors where I can buy a case of a Yards or Philadelphia Brewing Co. sampler pack. Their prices are also reasonable and I never feel like I am overpaying for anything. Bonus- I'm pretty sure all of the beers they carry are available in the cold fridge as well, not just Miller Lite and the other crap like it. This is a good place. I'm always in and out and don't feel like I'm being robbed. I definitely recommend it as a solid, local place.
