The truck read "Bob Pasquarella - King of Roast Beef," and they were slammed. The hot dogs and those budget-friendly graphics pulled me in. They also had an assortment of kielbasa and sausages, which I'll have to try next time. Their special included a kielbasa or sausage with chips and a soda, but I went with two dogs and a soda. Educational distillery "field trip"…read more Our World History teacher, Mr. Haas, told us he works at his brother's distillery on Thursdays, so naturally we had to investigate (for educational purposes). Instead of a normal tour, it basically turned into a history lecture. At one point we were hearing about the Neolithic Revolution, agriculture, and how early civilizations ran on bread and beer, which honestly makes the whole place historically accurate. Egyptians were even paid in bread and beer as wages, so technically this counts as historical research. Mr. Haas connected everything back to class--Mesopotamia, food surpluses, and how controlling resources equals power. It felt less like tour and more like studying for the next test.
