Brought my Audi A4 there some time ago. I asked Max for a quote on Yelp and he replied an hour or two later with a very fair itemized price. I brought the car in, they warned me they would have to keep it overnight (transmission service) and they were done next day as said. Offered to drive me to train station. Demanded that they wash the car even though I said its not necessary (this is not a con). Only con is the place is hard to find and I had to wonder around a bit to find who to talk to and if that was the right place. Will be brining my car in there from now on. read more

I am a repeat customer at northeast autobahn and I think that speaks volumes for any business. I was recommended the shop for some light repairs and a few performance upgrades to my Audi A4. Every single time I've visited the shop the quality and price of the work done was excellent. The owner/operator, Max, is extremely knowledgable and very friendly. The only thing I could criticize is the shop area was a little bit cluttered but that isn't what's important to me in finding a reliable auto repair shop. Even though I live almost an hour away, it's worth the trip for unbeatable quality work and low prices. I have been going to Northeast Autobahn since purchasing my first German car back in 2016. Nearly 4 years and 6 cars later, Max is still the only person I trust to work on my car! He always makes it a point to keep me updated about the status of my vehicle while it is at the shop, and has never given me the runaround like so many other mechanics have. Max, and Josh are very knowledgeable when it comes to working on Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Volvo and all of the other car brands. In 4 years and multiple vehicles I have never had to bring my car back twice for the same issue. This is the best mechanic you can go to if you have a vehicle. Max fixes every and any car and is very honest and knowledgeable towards all vehicles. A lot of mechanics make a bad name for all mechanics portraying them as sneaky and only after your money. Had Max dip my car and he works wonders! It was easy to tell that he takes great pride and care in his work. It was my first time dipping my car and he was extremely patient with me and provided me with all the options without trying to only sell me the most expensive one, he even threw in a few extra cans of dip for me for no charge. My 2012 VW Golf was having some issues so I looked up some reviews for mechanics in my area and settled on Northeast Autobahn -- and I am so glad that I did! Working with Max was incredibly easy and my car is running better than I can remember -- seriously!!! I appreciated that instead of throwing money into a bunch of parts like I feel some mechanics would suggest -- Max systematically worked with me to figure out where the issues were coming from in a very cost effective and efficient way. On top of all of this -- he arranged alternative transportation while my car was being worked on which was very helpful -- he picked my car up from my house because I was not available to drop off -- and also picked me up from the commuter rail station when my car was ready. Came in on a Friday morning after work (I sadly work the overnight shift) to have Max take off the tires on my winter wheels, put on a whole new set of winter tires on said winter wheels and then remove my summer wheels off my car and put on my winter wheels (I know this sounds confusing and tedious!) First off he was super nice and friendly about having to do such a task and he finished pretty quickly considering he was working on his own! He brought me to a little lounge area towards the back of the shop where I made myself comfortable for the wait. He was really quick! It didn't even feel like I was there for long before he came to notify me that he was finished. I had notified him that I would like to have the old winter tires back after he was done swapping them out but I was impressed that he even put my old set of winter tires into individual plastic bags so that they wouldn't dirty up my car! I had some questions to ask him about my summer tires, I was told by a different person that they needed to be changed out ASAP. I asked Max about the condition of the tires and he explained to me that my tires still looked to be in good condition to him and that I can definitely last through the summer and into the next winter season before changing them out. I've brought my car in for services a few weeks ago to replace my serpentine belt, spark plugs and tires while getting them balanced. Max (the owner) was able to get the services done in a timely manner since I was pressed on time. I've had previous issues with my car from other mechanics trying to 'fix it' but there was always an ongoing issue when I bring it home. This is when I decided to make an appointment with Max after hearing wonderful things from families and friends. I bought a Smart Car from a friend, 2009 convertible actually. Well almost immediately I noticed a problem with the shocks hitting bottom going over small pot holes so brought it to the Mercedes dealer that does Smart Cars around here, Mercedes of Boston in Somerville MA. I was very dissatisfied with the way they treated me and talked to me with some disdain so I took the keys back and left. I researched and found NE Autobahn, it had ALL five star ratings. Somehow that seemed impossible to me so I took a ride over to meet with Max. After speaking with him I could see why there were all 5 stars. He talks to you, not down to you, he is reassuring, he exudes competence. I took in the Smart Car and he did all the work necessary to my 5 star rating. It needed new shocks, it had a torn motor mount so he replaced that and found a few other things and took care of them as well. I feel I have found my go to place for the Smart Car and if I get a Mercedes or BMW I would bring it in to him. Max and NorthEast Autobahn rock!!! read more
