I spoke to Ashley, a very friendly receptionist, who could hear my agony and she got me in that afternoon for a consultation to get some relief. I met with Dr. Taylor, Dentist and she patiently counseled me on the procedural options. By the end of the day I was on antibiotics and had an appointment for a root canal. When I had additional questions about the procedure I was able to visit again and walk through all the options again with Dr. Taylor and her professionalism and ability to let me decide at my comfort level is much appreciated. The morning of my first procedure, I arrived and was met by Katelyn, a Certified Dental Assistant who welcomed me and walked me to the chair. On the way I encountered a sea of welcoming smiles and greetings from all the other staff seated at the front desk and walking through the halls. Ashley made sure I was comfortable and relaxed before beginning. They really do treat you like family, not only during the procedure but in the recommendations for treatment options. They show extreme patience and kindness at each step from providing consultation to completing the procedures at every visit. Dr. Taylor is masterful at root canals! She was efficient, focused, and careful. Her gentle and professional manor gave me confidence that I was in good hands. Throughout the appointment she checked on me to make sure I was comfortable and pain free. As we all know, insurance coverage can often be a cul-de-sac of confusion. When I had a question about the payment options and charges, Ashley walked me through the bill with great patience and helped me understand exactly what each charge was for and how insurance affected the outcome. Very rarely do we encounter people who view their jobs as a passion, and when we find those who do we should give appropriate honor. During the small talk that occurs during the first moments sitting in the dental chair while being prepped, I asked Katelyn if she enjoyed her job. What said really impressed me, "Some might see this role as a stepping stone, but this is exactly what I want to do." And do it well she does, when I received my temporary crown Katelyn ensured it fit correctly and when I left it felt like my real tooth. When I came back to receive my crown she took her time to ensure the fit and it feels natural and strong. I am very grateful for Dr. Taylor, Katelyn, and Ashley for helping me get through a personally challenging ordeal, as I dread going to the dentist as some others dread flying or tight rope walking across the Grand Canyon, but they pulled it off and I remain a loyal patient of this fantastic dental care group. You've built a strong family of dental caregivers, Dr. Northcutt!

So when some discomfort arose in my shoulder after a workout, and persisted for several weeks with certain moves, I decided to get it checked out. The wait in the waiting room was super quick. I was halfway through my first page of paperwork when I was called back for x-rays. The x-rays took very little time, and I was placed in an exam room to wait for the doctor. My time in the exam room before Dr. Determann came in was about 45 minutes, but I didn't mind. It's a busy facility with their own rehab center inside, so I'm sure he's busy between scheduled patients and popping over to the rehabilitation side of things as needed. He listened to my concerns and to me explain what happened when I started noticing popping and slight pain. He worked my shoulder, testing my movements and range of motion, and he felt around on my shoulder blade until he could pinpoint where the popping was occurring. He reviewed my x-rays with me and explained what was happening. Thankfully, I have a minor issue that simply needs some rehabilitation for strengthening! Nothing is wrong with my actual shoulder! I appreciated the time and effort of an appointment with him. Not once did I feel shrugged off or rushed. I left with some relief of knowing I don't have anything damaged at all, and it's great to know I can return here to be in great hands while strengthening a weak spot!

In regards to Alabama Orthopaedic Clinic in Mobile, AL, more specifically, Dr Matthew Barber...(I…read morehave not experienced any other professional at this facility): I am certain that Dr. Matthew Barber truly is the excellent surgeon that he boasts in all of his muscle-bare posters scattered every 15 feet or so throughout the clinic. But only as long as you have the proper insurance and can pay the additional thousands of dollars in co-pays and additional fees. BUT, if you DON'T have the proper insurance, and a wad of cash stashed under your mattress, well then, you might as well just move along. That is to say, within the constraints of your physical ability to move at all! So if you find, while trying to find other means of obtaining the procedure you so desperately need, that you only require a minimal form to accompany an application for said assistance, in order to get back being a productive member of society, don't expect any help with that! A simple form, a half page piece of paper, nothing more than a few scribbles, the only thing left standing in the way of just sending the application for assistance....well, you better just go back and start over with another, EQUALLY talented surgeon, because Dr. Matthew Barber just doesn't have time to consider anything that he cannot place on his list of super-human achievements.

It was done with great ease and very little discomfort. Dr. Goyeneche receives an A+ due to two previous shots in my hip, which were awful. His skills are far above past experiences. There was a clear difference between Dr. Goyeneche's service in this facility and the previous facility. Bed side manners also receive an A+. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH. This is for the Pace location…read more I am not one to do this but I came here for my initial Physical Therapy weeks ago and worked with Viktor and thought he ws great. He really was, so i give hime credit. He was empathetic and helpful. I have had major cervical stenosis and major myofascial muscle knots because of it. He was able to help take the edge off the pain with stretches which I appreciated and tried to work out the knots but with little success. But I dont believe that was his fault. The pain came back full force, even with stretching and injections. After talking to my primary she was confused on why PT didn't recommend dry needling or another procedure for my back that my pain Dr that sent then could try since the knots were so bad and would not disappear. ( I now realize they don't have the training or schooling deal with severe issues at this location). So she ordered another referral but asked me to go to a different Physical therapist. I was happy with my previous experience so I said i would go back to these guys. The referral was sent over. It specifically stated dry needling for thorasic strain in wall and tendon. It was VERY clear it was the back. They scheduled me two weeks out and if you have severe pain, you know how long two weeks feels like. I go in today for it and received a different PT. She immediately did not seem as empathetic as Viktor. She actually had NO CLUE why i was there or even looked at my paperwork before seeing her patient. (Another suggestion, if your patient returns, do not switch therapist). She told me, no we don't do that here. We are not trained for that. I would have had to take way more courses and I am not going to do that. OK. I really didn't think that was professional to state the last part but ok. I was not impressed with the bedside manner. She was even joking with other patients while she was dealing with my tears and distress. Unacceptable. I left in tears (mostly due to being in pain for 6 months and I thought FINALLY I am going to get some relief. It was quite embarrassing to have this whole thing go on in front of other patients instead of in private with my Healthcare provider. Since I am at it, why does the front desk ladies always seem bothered you are interrupting non work related conversations. A smile might be nice. That being said, I waited TWO weeks for that appointment. In pain. Why in the WORLD is Andrews scheduling for a referral they can NOT do. The woman told me the front desk really doesn't know things and they just schedule. Maybe this girl was new. I don't know. I am not putting her name out there because everyone has bad days but while I got a sorry, it was not ok to joke, and not ok to mention the schooling part the way she did. There is a professional, kind way to handle that situation and that wasn't it. WHY is a professional not looking over these referrals first? Why are trained medical professionals not going over thier patients paperwork before seeing them? Very very unprofessional. And very VERY WRONG to schedule that far out for something they can not do. I don't understand. Please, please Andrews, have a trained professional review these referrals. Do not waste the time of patients that have been physically hurting and are dealing with severe emotional strain because of it. When you do this, they have to start over with a new PT that could also take several weeks and delay healing and relief. And if you do mess up show some accountability. NICOLE WALL
