As a vegan, I greatly appreciate Sarpino's entire vegan menu that features pizza, cheesy bread, calzones, and more! The Northbrook Sarpino's is my go-to location, and they consistently show excellent customer service. Their delivery time is super quick, and the driver is always friendly. It does the job of filling you up, sauce is tangy, cheese pull was minimal for this style of pizza, and that's with ordering extra cheese also. We ordered an XL thin crust half veggie half cheese pizza. First our order was NOT correct, it was definitely not a thin crust, as we have ordered thin crust from Sarpinos before. Also, I have ordered XL from different locations, and it was NOT this small!!! This is the smallest XL pizza I've ever seen in my life for $35 without tip. This location is taking advantage of people if this is what they are selling as an XL. When I called to tell them my order was not correct, as we ordered thin crust, the customer service was horrible she placed me on hold about 10x and did not have a solution, instead told me they can make another pizza for me at a cost. How about come back and take the incorrect order and give me the correct order I just paid $35 for! Do not go here! Waste of money. And on top of that Pizza was not great at THIS location. This is a breakup letter to Northbrook Sarpinos. Used to me my reliable to go to place for pizza. Yes they knew how to make Pineapple and onions melt together in perfect harmony. Tonight was a huge let down. My soul was ripped into half. Tonights pizza had those clunky huge bits of pineapple. Not every bite had pineapple on it. It was like eating from another subpar place as crust was so unusually crunchy (like eating deep dish crust type of hard from lou malantis) what was to write home about this particular pie? Nothing. To add insult to injury the lunch I ordered for tomorrow was missing the usual layer of melted cheese. It was scant scattering of some type of cheese that was barely registering as cheese. My heart was already ripped into half over the pineapple ficaso. Now when I called tonight their defense was they did try to call me. About what? Text me like everyone else does. The new generation prefers texting over calls. Person who answered was a little bit muffed that I dared to complain and did not want to continue the conversation. Yes got some sort of refund back but dang it Sarpinos Im now afraid to order again and face the wrath of new staff over there. So no longer going to depend on Sarpinos. Forget this place if they get peeved about me complaining about missing cheese on a sandwich and the clunky pineapple that certainly didnt make the pizza decent at all as it was random bite or so for that pineapple.( they said only tempoary status on those big pineapple) Been a nice run with you guys. Ordered from here while on vacation in Chicago since this was the only place open that late (3am) and the food here was disgusting. We ordered: shrimp Alfredo pizza, spaghetti with marinara, Mac n cheese bites, garlic bread, and mozzarella cheese sticks. Every single thing was stale and cold to begin with. The pizza had WAY too much garlic in it and my mouth felt hot and itchy, bleh! The cheese in the bites and mozzarella sticks were clumpy and chunky and we couldn't even get through our meal. I am not sure why there are all these bad reviews. Just tried this place out for lunch because I saw the Yelp deal. Previous poster said it was hard to use - I called the restaurant just to make sure they would apply it and it was done very easily. I ordered a calzone, a sandwich, and a dessert. Everything was very good. The Chicken Alfredo Calzone was the best of the bunch. Dough was fresh and crispy, the stuffing was well seasoned and prepared well. And the marinara sauce was a great compliment. I would definitely get this again. The Steak Sandwich was just okay. I forgot to specify which kind of bread (focaccia, french, or panini), so it came on a sesame french bread bun. Just not enough steak and there was probably too much bread for this sandwich. If I get this again, I would definitely specify a lighter or thinner bread. The Tiramisu was also very delicious. It's more like a tiramisu cake than a classic tiramisu, but sooo good. Also, the food was delivered hot and very timely. I was quoted 35-40 minutes and it arrived in 30 minutes. Also, delivery is FREE with no minimums! That's great, especially if you just wanted to order something for yourself or a couple. Overall, great food and great service. Love that they have vegan options! Tonight I ordered ahead online. I ate vegan garlic bread and vegan sweet chili heat pizza. This consists of Daiya Dairy-Free Cheeze, Red Peppers, Onions, Pineapple, Sweet Chili Sauce, and Regular Crust. I enjoyed it, I loved the sweet chili sauce, especially with the pineapple.. will probably request no onions next time. The garlic bread is good too, nothing crazy special obviously. The marinara sauce comes w to dip it in,, has a sweet, very tomatoey flavor. Only ordered an 8" pizza and that was enough, the slices are big and thick and loaded w toppings, very satisfying. Why My Pie closed their location near the Northbrook Metra station, it left a big void in the pizza game for the neighborhood. I tried a bunch of other pizza places in the immediate area, and they were mostly okay-to-good. Out of the bunch, the Northbrook Sarpino's was the least palatable. So, okay... Y'know that saying "even bad pizza is pretty good?" The Northbrook Sarpino's is just below that line. The crusts were limp, the toppings were haphazardly laid, and the cheese was really oily. In fairness, we got delivery late night. Maybe they're better in the day, and maybe better carried out. I dunno. The pizza we got was really lousy, though - worse than from the Riverwoods Sarpino's. It was at least better than a Celeste For One frozen pizza, or the abominations from the Palatine or Morton Grove Sarpino's locations (which had the two worst pizzeria pizzas I've ever had in the state of Illinois). They also seem to specialize in big orders for parties (though so do a lot of other pizzarias in a 3 mile radius). If you can walk, and it isn't too late at night; I suggest crossing the park to go to get Lou Malnati's, or heading a block west to Oliverii's. They are a little more expensive, but exponentially better. If you can drive a few minutes, there are lots of better late-night thin crust or deep dish pizza options (Jake's, Il Forno, or even Domino's). read more

Decent pizza, but too expensive ... I'll start off by saying that I kind of like the food at Sarpinos. They have a lot of options to choose from, and their pizza isn't bad. I also think their wings are pretty tasty. The problem is that it's just way too expensive when you consider their competition. They charge Lou Malnati's kind of prices, but they are competing against the likes of Dominos, Papa John's and Pizza Hut. Even if you are willing to concede that Sarpinos has slightly better pizza than the other big chains, it's still not worth paying more than double the price. Here's an example. I can get two 2-topping 12" pizzas delivered from Dominos to my house for $16.17 including tax and delivery. Those same pizzas from Sarpinos would cost me $37.69. That's just crazy! If I'm going to spend that kind of money, I'd rather order from a local mom and pop place with far superior pizza like Joe's. read more

An hour and a half later, with no food in sight, contacted the location only to be told they had never actually made the food. No offer of a refund, just "Oh we can make it now and have it there in half an hour." No thanks, lazy employees, I fell for your scam once and won't do it again. Do not order from this location. There's one over in Riverwoods, go there instead as they employ people who actually know how to do their jobs. read more

This place is just horrible....I ordered a large specialty pizza over the weekend b/c it was the only place open late at night.... and it cost me $22?!?! For the same quality pizza as Dominos. It's highway robbery. On top of that, I did the $10 for $20 voucher. I also called after I ordered online to make sure the coupon would be applied. However, when the delivery driver arrived, he didn't know about the Yelp deal and had to make a phone call. Upon speaking in a foreign language on the phone, he took $10 off my order....ok NO, dude, it's supposed to be $20. I tend to categorize my pizza into two categories - fast food (i.e. Dominoes, Pizza Hut, etc.) and good pizza (i.e. Viccinos, Lou Malnati's, etc.). This is quite adequate fast-food pizza. My family had to order pizza for dinner last night due to our kitchen being totally saran-wrapped due to painting. We had no access to any cooking implements so we had to improvise. Being the cheapskates we are, we noticed that Sarpino's had a coupon for a large 1-topping pizza for $8.99. Keep those flyers, people! The ordering process was very pleasant. A nice young man answered the phone and quickly took our order. He was courteous enough to let us know that they were out of grilled chicken that evening. My mother went out to pick up the pizza, and it was ready when she arrived. Sarpinos tends to use a lot of sauce on their pizza. I actually like a lot of sauce on my pizza but others might not. They also used a nice amount of cheese. The pizza itself is somewhat bready and chewy. They also seemed to skimp on the toppings. I barely saw any mushrooms on the pizza. Oh well...... As I said, this is adequate fast food pizza with some good deals. read more
