I did some research and found this spot near Park City Mall. It ended up being an amazing shopping experience and I look forward to coming back in the future! They have an amazing selection of all the big brands, plus small brewery choices from around the world, the USA, and Central Pennsylvania itself. I had a short list of some things to try, and impressively they had them all! The beer they stock was all fresh, except the clearance area which honestly weren't all that old and ended up still tasting great for very low prices. They offer a bunch of cold selections, others at room temperature (which is kept cool). The two owner/cashiers were instantly super friendly and fun to talk to, thank you for swapping stickers! The prices for everything I chose were honestly reasonable for such a selection. If you're looking for packaged beer to enjoy at home or on a trip, this is a must-visit place to get it.

Only two of us were ID'd at the registered. Of course my out of state ID required a more in-depth inspection as expected. However, I am 26, and this was an unexpired, good condition, license from a Real ID State (NC). An employee, who was younger than me I might add, snapped my license in half to the point where it was only held together by lamination and then told me it would not scan properly. I wonder why?!. According to the employee it is PA policy to bend ID's to the point of breaking and then scan them. ??? The emoloyees we're quite unapologetic and inconsistent with they're explanation of why this happened. To the point where it was not worth the time and effort to argue with them. The rest of the weekend I visited at least 15 establishments in the area each of which sold and/or served alcoholic beverages. Each time I was ID'd, most of the time scanned, with my broken license and allowed to stay and partake in festivities. In fact, two days after the incident, I returned to the same store and wasn't even carded when purchasing more beer! Why was only part of our party carded? Why was only my ID bent? Why didn't they scan it first? Why did EVERY OTHER ESTABLISHMENT have no issue with my ID, whether scanning or visual? Why wasn't I carded two days later by other employees? This establishment's employees and manager clearly lack any knowledge of driver's licenses from any state other than PA. Additionally they showed inconsistency with their carding policy and an overlaying disrespectful attitude toward customers. But hey, great selection though.

We had called ahead because Google said it was closing at 4 PM, while another site said it was already closed. Fortunately, the person on the phone assured us it was open. When we arrived, the place was empty. We walked inside and were greeted by the guy at the counter, who might have been the owner. His demeanor was a bit off-putting for our group, including myself. When I mentioned we wanted to sample some meads, he had both menus together but then moved one menu aside, saying it wasn't included in the tasting. A clearer explanation would have been appreciated. He mentioned that the tasting included four meads, and when I asked if we should write down our choices, he said just to tell him what we wanted. We started with the Almond Spice, a sparkling mead infused with toasted almonds. At 6.5% ABV, it was sweet and delicious on the palate. Next, we tried the Apple Pie mead, which had a delightful cinnamon flavor and was incredibly good but also sweet. The Pear Melomel was surprisingly one of my favorites, and finally, the Peach Melomel, fermented with natural peach juice, was amazing but very sweet. All the meads were sweet but tasty. From the "forbidden" taster menu, we had a glass of the Hibiscus mead, known as sorrel or fleur de Jamaica. This honey mead, with its tart berry flavor and deep red color, was semi-sweet and packed a punch at 13.2% ABV. Sitting outside was more pleasant than inside, as the indoor area was small. The staff, particularly the man at the counter, could be more welcoming, which would definitely improve the overall experience. Despite this, it was a nice place to stop and enjoy some great meads. I highly recommend the Almond Spice mead--it might just be the best mead I've ever tasted.
