The facility itself is decent, although in the summer, when the outdoor pool is open, the change rooms are filthy at times. For those who are lane swimmers, there are 3 lanes. The medium lane is a problem as many of the swimmers using it are not swimming the strokes designated in the lane marker, and most do not have any idea of lane swimming protocols. They should be in the slow lane, especially if others are constantly having to stop, and turn direction half way down the lane in order to keep swimming. Many do not understand that it is ok to pass them down the middle lane, or that if they are going up/down the lane, they need to stick to the sides, not the middle where passing can occur. There are several very stubborn swimmers who insist that their pace (very slow) is the one the pace others must follow. The lifeguards are clued out, zoned out and not engaged at all. At one point, I looked up and saw nobody on the pool deck, all the lifeguards were somewhere else. Myself and several others have had conversations about this issue of actually not being able to swim lanes due to people who are engaging in "leisure swimming" during lane swimming. If you say anything, they tell you to move to the fast lane, which would only cause an issue for the fast swimmers (although most of them know how to use a pool and proper lane etiquette). Worst managed pool/lifeguards. Paying to swim under this kind of management is not worth it at all. From a lifelong swimmer: go somewhere else where the lifeguards are aware/awake. read more
