I like food. Alot. Therefore, I run. Alot. It's really a cost benefit thing...needless to say…read moreas much as I enjoy running (or more like the delicious food I reward myself with after running....) my feet and ankles do not quite share in my enjoyment. They are decidedly against running and like to take every opportunity to reinforce this through tendonitis, stress fractures, and general pain. So when I moved to the McKinney area, finding a foot doctor was a clear priority. Enter Dr. Korpinen and the great people at Premier Foot and Ankle. Dr. Korpinen has two locations (Plano, and this location in McKinney) and I have visited both. My visits are always positive - no long waits, friendly staff, and nice offices. Dr. Korpinen himself is great. He is friendly, explains things well, and truly cares about his patients. For a moment there, I thought Premier Foot & Ankle was gone! I was confused how Dr. Sheth was…read moreconnected to two different names. Here's some clarification: StrideCare is the big umbrella organization, and Premier Foot & Ankle is one of the practices under that umbrella. Think of it like this: Premier Foot & Ankle is the local neighborhood expert, while StrideCare is the entire team standing behind them. When you search for Premier Foot & Ankle, you'll often see the name StrideCare attached to it because Premier has been integrated into the larger StrideCare network. What does that actually mean for patients like us? Local care, bigger resources. You still see your local foot and ankle specialist, but they have access to a much larger network of experts. More specialists under one roof. StrideCare brings together podiatrists, wound care specialists, and vascular surgeons who all focus on keeping people on their feet. If your foot problem turns out to involve circulation issues, specialized footwear, wound care, or other complex needs, those resources are already built into the network. Texas-sized support, right lol So if you see "StrideCare (Premier Foot & Ankle)" on an insurance directory or medical listing, don't panic and assume you've found a secret second doctor. It's simply Premier Foot & Ankle operating as part of the larger StrideCare family. Think of it as your local foot doctor getting backup from an entire all-star team dedicated to feet, ankles, legs, and keeping you moving. Hope this helps. I was confused too.

I called the office to get clarification on what's offered. I spoke with the kindest woman who answered all my questions and was able to get my son in for a new patient appointment the next day. He explained everything in a way both my son and I could understand and I agreed with his assessment. The plan of action for us was to start with physical therapy and have a follow up visit in a few months. The P.T. Dr Sheth refered us to has been incredible (see my review on Edge Physical Therapy). We have a follow up visit with Dr. Seth in the coming months and look forward to how that visit goes.
