Our good friends have a house on the very far end of the lake, so up until recently, there was no water for a couple years. All dried up and eerie.... Luckily the water levels are back up and they can return to their normal out-on-the-water lives, which means I can too! Our friend has seen the water levels change throughout the years, and he says it always comes back. Possum Kingdom is super festive on the 4th of July with great firework shows, and they also have diving competitions. Hell's Gate is probably the most popular natural attraction -- lots of cliff diving/jumping. The scenery is quite pretty, especially for Texas, and the stars on a clear night are bright and beautiful.
