As a parent we all want wants best for our kids. And living here in AZ we really all want the best…read moreeducation for our kids.for some reason I don't get the hype of a charter school. When clearly a lot of people say charter schools are the best. I can't agree with this. Being this is the second charter school I've now put my son in and again it just wasn't for him. Look nothing is wrong with Legacy.if your child is a transfer student that's where the issues will come in.This is a great school for ur child to start if they start out in kinder but if they start out coming here in 5th it's a nightmare. This school is so accelerated and advanced ur child will struggle and if your child doesn't get it. Too bad. Bc when you start to ask the teacher for help they will clearly start to ignore you. Which I don't understand. I'm thinking the teacher ignoring asking for help is their way of weeding out the kids who just don't do to well dealing with an Exceller rated program.. My son has always been an A student coming here not the case. My son has struggled and I can't have my son struggling bc it's to fast past not every kid can learn this way. So back to public school for my son. Good luck if your child does will with this type of learning it really isn't meant for every child.

I'm writing to bring to your attention an incident that happened today, August 14th, around 3:20…read morePM, regarding my daughter Callie's school laptop. This morning, Callie accidentally left her laptop at home, so I brought it to the school around 9:00 AM. When I dropped it off at the front desk, the receptionist Mellisa mentioned that she "might be able to get it to her." I assumed she was joking, so I left it with her. Later in the day, I found out that Callie never received her laptop. When I returned to the front desk, I expressed that if it wasn't going to be delivered to her, I would have preferred to take it back with me. The receptionist mentioned that she thought it was for homework, but in fact, Callie needed it for classwork during her last period today. I also want to note that this is only the second time Callie has forgotten her laptop, yet the receptionist claimed it had happened three or four times, which is simply not true. I was disappointed to hear an inaccurate statement about my daughter's track record, especially when it could impact how she is perceived. I wanted to make you aware of this situation because it caused Callie to miss an important class activity. I understand everyone is busy, but I hope we can ensure that items critical to a student's classwork are delivered in a timely manner in the future and that communication remains accurate and respectful. Thank you for your time and understanding. Sincerely Jaylene . P

I'm not going to lie...I miss high school…read more Moon Valley was a place I spent the majority of my childhood. As the son of a teacher, my adventure with Mooon Valley started in 1980 and continued until my departure in 1993. When you go back through your memories, you have a tendency to glorify several of the things that happened in your life, but high school...wee, it is something that just happens! Coming in as a freshman, the whole expienece is a bit overwhelming. You see the world from the bottom and know that you will have to wait your turn to be at the top of the ladder. Moon Valley was a prideful school, with a history of success and a case full of trophies. A school that excelled in athletics and academics. Over the years, the school has spiraled downward and just driving by makes me just shake my head. Class of 1993... To all my classmates and the year of the first state track and field championships, I am honored to have spent some of the most memorable times of our lives.

On April 2nd 2026, and the 9th 2026 my daughter was assaulted by another girl at this school. Each…read moreattack was by a separate individual. The second attack was so severe that my daughter was transported to the hospital via ambulance. She had her head smashed against the concrete that resulted in a concussion by this girl, and multiple bruises to her face and shoulders. The school, after the first attack did nothing to prevent the second attack. When I asked them what precautions will be taken if my daughter returned to their school after this second attack, I was told she could use the nurses bathroom since the first attack took place in the women's bathroom, and that she could eat lunch in the office or somewhere that they designated since the second attack took place while she was at lunch in the courtyard. The girl who more severely assaulted my daughter on the second attack was withdrawn from the school. I found out that apparently this girl had been expelled from another school for fighting and that she'd already been in several fights that year at Moon valley and was on a contract for fighting so they knew she was volatile and dangerous and still did nothing to take any type of precautions with other people's students. They just allowed her to roam free..... The hospital visit alone cost me $1,400, I haven't seen the bill yet for the ambulance ride, nor have I seen the bill yet for the specialist who is supposed to be her follow-up for the concussion. Drugs and alcohol are also rampant in this school, they are bought and sold by students. When I had photo evidence of these individuals selling and buying drugs, and using alcohol on campus I brought it to the attention of the assistant principal and the campus officer and they did nothing with that. Also told the campus officer when my daughter was assaulted the second time that I wanted to file charges and I'm pretty sure I was given a bogus report number because when I went back to look up the status of my daughter's case the report number he gave me kept coming back could not be found. There's going to be a lawsuit on their hands if this isn't taken seriously and handled it a befitting manager and taken seriously with implementating some sort of safeguard so my daughter can finish out the rest of her year and then transfer her out..... Worst school any of my four children have attended and I would not recommend it to anybody if they value their children's safety. And when I tell you it's worse than Glendale School District I mean it. I regret moving so that she had to attend this district/school.
