I am beyond angry, hurt, and disappointed with North Loop Pet Clinic. I left my baby in your care on July 21 to be cremated. Today is August 11, and I have now learned that she is STILL there, in a freezer. I cannot understand how this could happen. How does a beloved pet who was entrusted to you for cremation remain there for three weeks? Was she forgotten? She was not "just a dog" to me. She was my baby, a member of my family, and I trusted you to treat her with dignity and respect after her passing. Now my mind is filled with questions I never should have had to ask. How do I know she is still there? How do I know for certain that the remains you eventually return to me will actually be hers? What happened after I left her with you on July 21? Why wasn't she sent for cremation? Why wasn't I contacted? I am so upset that I honestly do not trust myself to have this conversation verbally right now. I am grieving, and finding this out has added another layer of pain to something that was already heartbreaking. I need answers. I need an explanation of exactly what happened, where my baby has been since July 21, and what will be done to ensure that she is properly identified and that the ashes returned to me are hers. I trusted you with my baby during one of the hardest moments a pet owner goes through. I should never have been left wondering if she was forgotten in a freezer. I am heartbroken. read more

If I could give this place 0 starts I would. Do not bring your pet here when they are sick bc they will it not help. My sister brought her chihuahua due to her showing to be in pain. We didn't know what was wrong with her she waited from 12 - 3pm to be seen. They tried to do X-rays on her but where unable to as she would scream in pain when touched. So they just gave her pain medicine and sent her back home and said to come back in 7 days for the X-rays. The next day she passed away. They were so dismissive, didn't even make any recommendations didn't say what could possibly be wrong with her. They were no help seems like they just wanted to get to the next appointment. We regret so much taking her here trusting these ppl with her. We are devastated by this loss. They are so careless and unprofessional read more

My only issue is you can't get the prescriptions to go to another pharmacy they want you to only use their pharmacy which is overpriced. They went on ahead and said that if my dog left the clinic he was going to die. With no type of care or sympathy. Communication and health checks have always been thorough and safe for our babies (2 generations now). I have been bringing my dogs here for over 15 years. Today was the last time. They no longer want patrons in the office. They want everyone to wait in their car and park in a line down the backside of the street. It is unprofessional and devalues their clients. Today the wait time was over 2 hours. I left there and I was able to find another low cost vet waited after their lunch break and saw the vet, get all my dogs shots etc and I was home witin that 2 hours. No I do not recommend this clinic. Policing the parking lot (which they don't do well) is more than you should have to deal with when your pet needs to see the vet. Do yourself a favor and try Garza Vet on North Shepherd Dr. They are friendly, have plenty of parking and you are able to wait in a waiting room that is clean with professional staff. I am just over this place. To get seen at a reasonable time you have to arrive atleast an hour before closing. The establishment needs MAJOR renovations. And the staff, specially the front desk staff, always have the worst attitudes and lack of customer service. Today, I called to ask what was the latest they would see a patient, they said 4pm. I called TWICE to confirm and they said the same thing. I asked my boss to get off early so I could make it there before 4. I arrived at 3:45 and they tell me they are no longer taking patients. What? I drove 40 minutes here and had to ask to get off early, confirmed the last patient take in, and now you tell me my dog won't be seen? Not to mention they actually close at 5. Horrendous. I've frequent this low cost vet locations for about 10 years and nothing has changed, which is a GOOD thing. All sorts of cats and dogs are seen here. Yes, you do see more pit bulls but all are on leashes, they have a back room for feisty dogs or people leave their dogs in their cars (w/ another human) and come in when it time for them to be seen. The prices are low and you do not feel like you are being over sold on a product. This place is not for everyone. It isn't aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. You'll most likely drive passed it or wouldn't think it's open. Today, I arrived at 10am and walked out at 10:45am. It is a hit and miss on how busy they are on Mondays. My visit was to take my poodle mix nephew/adopted son for an exam to diagnose a skin infection and blood mucus on his stool. Vet prescribed antibiotics and deworm med total cost $45. There are more low cost vet in the Houston area so glad to see they are still in operation. read more

Arrived at 4pm and I went inside to sign in. They were super strict about wearing masks (I have my vaccine), so I had to go get a mask. Then I came back inside to fill the paperwork and while I was doing that my ride had left to pump gas since you have to wait in your vehicle and there was no available parking. It started raining really bad and the male front desk worker with glasses was telling me to wait in my car and I told them my ride left to pump gas and was being really rude wanting me to leave outside when it was raining horribly. I recommend demonstrating humane decency and being professional to your customers. I was not attended until 6pm (2 hour wait). Prices reasonable .. And that's were it ends. They don't take appts .. I had to wait 3 hrs in a crowded dirty waiting room with dirty dogs and mostly dirty folks who didn't speak English. A couple of puppies shit on the floor .. Took for ever to get somebody to clean it up all while various dogs stepped in it and spread it over the whole waiting room .. A staff member announced that there were tape worms in the stool, loud enough for everybody to hear, while another showed up not with disinfectant but a regular mob and smeared it further .. A classic comedy skit .. The monkeys running the zoo! My dog was there because this clinic was recommended as the best to fix my CORSO s cherry eye .. The staff nor doctor gave a shit about the dog .. Nobody recognized my dog as the patient .. Nobody touched or petted the dog. Somebody, presumably the vet, stepped into the dirty shit hole were my dog and I were waiting for examination .. She didn't introduce herself .. Spent 15 secs explaining the procedure, turned and walked out. I felt I was sitting in a busy bus depot. On the day the surgery was planned I again had to sign in and wait .. They didnt have the surgery scheduled and claimed it was on another day. Staff extremely rude .. Male receptionist looked like a member of a motorcycle gang. I felt if I complaint I would get beat up. I asked for my money back .. The gave me half back without any apologies or attempt to make it right .. I asked to speak to the vet, she refused, she sent the message that she was too busy. Have never been to such a bad vet before .. I normally get along with everybody .. But I cannot entrust the life of my pet with such a horrible place. read more

I have 4 furr babies. 2 dogs & 2 cats. The vet here is very good & their prices can't be beat! I can afford to have then treated & I'm thankful for this place. My cats got into a fight & one of them needed stitches & they were very reasonable at $200. I called so many places & it was 5x's more $$. Then my dog got very ill & the cost of blood work, fluids & antibiotics was about $40. They saved my pup. I recommend this vet for the quality care & affordable prices. Do not take your pets here. Are they affordable yes are they fast yes, do they know what the hell they are doing no. After taking my mother in laws shitzu here to help her after feeling sick and throwing up blood they said it was a virus. Second visit was the same diagnosis after not feeling well after the injections and meds for approximately a week. They also took our full office visit money both times. Over 200$. 100$ and then 130$. Trust was lost after the poor dog was still sick. Ended up having to take her to another pet clinic in Crosby who did X-rays the first time and the diagnosis was a tumor and terminal. We had to put the poor thing down due to this sad situation. Be aware of this affordable place thats just an in and out basically fast food restaurant for animals. The girl at the front desk is so nice the guy who's in the front not so much. read more
