We have trusted him with items with values of hundreds of thousands of dollars and he has always over delivered, making collectible handcuffs into museum quality displays. The storefront window lures you in with wonderful pieces of art, and the interior is filled with beautifully curated, framed art. The proprietor of this lovely shop - Teah, is friendly, patient, and extremely helpful. I used to have my work framed at Hull's down the street, and while Hull's isn't bad, this place is next level, and yet I don't think Merwin's is any more expensive. If I'm not mistaken they seem to be competitively priced, but at Merwin's you really feel like you're in the right place. Trust me, if you're anywhere close, or heck... even if you aren't, I urge you to give this place your business. I last had some prints framed there back in 2022, and just left something to be framed a couple of days ago, and thought - I have to write a review about this place. The work they do is top notch, the service is without equal because you're dealing with Teah @ Merwin's.

FrameWorks is a home business run out of the owner's basement. Andy welcomed us, looked at our item, and worked us through the process of choosing the frame that would best show it off. He ordered the stock and assembled the final product himself, providing even the hardware to properly hang it. We picked it up a week after ordering and are looking forward to the big reveal. There are two things to be aware of with FrameWorks: 1. There is no sign to find the place. Look for the red mailbox at the foot of a steep driveway. 2. Custom framing isn't cheap. It's worth it, but be ready to pay for a craftsman's time. We're very happy and highly recommend Frame Works to anyone.

I am a former CT resident and knew the owner and business by reputation. Not the artistic type myself, I asked the owner (Andy) to choose a suitable frame and matting for the photo after describing where it would be displayed and the dominant colors in the room. Had a custom photo printer mail Frame Works a large high quality print. Andy agreed to ship the custom framed photograph to my present home in Vermont. The quality of the work was exceptional and pleasing in every respect. The frame and triple matting enhanced the photo and perfectly complemented the color scheme of my office. It arrived carefully packaged and in perfect condition, with high quality mounting hardware attached (including pads to prevent tilting). What a big step up from the Michaels frames I formerly used to display my best photography. Those frames now look dowdy and cheap in comparison. I highly recommend Frame Works to anyone seeking to optimally display prized photography, art or heirlooms. The owner is an artist. He will treat your project with the same meticulous craftsmanship and flair for design he uses to display his own art. A rare quality today.
