They continued to assess her and focus only on what she needed. Highly recommended!

My husband and I first learned about Kumon from one of his friends, whose child was enrolled in the…read moreprogram. This particular child was excelling far above his peers in both reading and math, and my husband took note of this. Upon doing some research ourselves about the Kumon approach to math and reading enrichment, my husband and I decided to tour a few of the locations nearest our home. Upon first arriving to the Lawrenceville/Collins Hill location, we were greeted by the director, Lubna Momin. Lubna shared a brief history of the program as well as how children naturally progress at their own pace through the various levels. Next, my son was given an initial assessment to evaluate what level he was currently in. This was free, and it took between 30-45 minutes. My husband and I waited for him in the lobby during this time. When my son finished his assessment with Lubna, she came out to the lobby to share the results with us, and shared suggestions on which level he could start on if we decided to move forward. We went home and thought about it for a week or so, as it is a commitment of both time and resources, but ultimately decided that this was a step we felt we should take if we wanted our son to truly be equipped academically for Kindergarten and the years following. Our son has been enrolled in the Lawerenceville/Collins Hill Kumon location since February, and we are so glad we made this decision. He completes 1 reading packet and 1 math packet at home every day, and 2 days a week goes to the Kumon Center for 1 hour to do his work alongside the teachers and his peers. He currently reads at a 1st grade reading level and is successfully working through 2nd grade level math as a Kindergartener! We are so proud of him and truly credit his success to Kumon. My family and I are so very grateful to the staff at this Kumon location, especially the director, Lubna. If you want your child to get ahead, or, if your child is beginning to struggle in school and just needs a bit of help to get to where they need to be, we highly recommend Kumon! I still remember our frustration over our daughter's struggle through her classes, especially in Math during her elementary school years. Even with the elementary school's after school tutoring, she was barely passing. Her mother and I knew things would only get more difficult in middle school, which led us to Mathnasium. The first day she came into the office, Kim guided her through the steps of a Math problem, and we all saw that she did understand; she just lacked the confidence to follow through. This little bit of hope is what convinced me that Mathnasium was the answer. By attending Mathnasium 2 or 3 times a week, our daughter significantly improved her grades not only in Math but in all her classes! Thanks to Kim and her team, our daughter will be attending college in the Fall! The program price is well worth the results!

My son breezed through his math homework, asked no questions and was confident in doing math for the first time EVER! He ended his 3rd grade year with a 1 on his report card in math. Whatever the case may be, the confidence he now has, the decreased anxiety and the look on his face when he shows understanding of how to do his work is priceless. Thank you so much for all you do!!!
