Service was quick, next day, and he knew exactly what he had to do to replace a broken spring. Definitely use this company again.

Garage Door Guys - original install

Garage Door Guys

Found via Yelp and other online review sites…read more Called them up and was able to get an appointment very quickly. The guys came out to do the tune up but advised the doors actually needed to be replaced. They sent me their catalog and the recommended door (and they didn't automatically suggest the most expensive one, they were honest about my true needs). I paid & did everything over the phone - super easy. The doors were delayed but they kept me informed and rescheduled accordingly. Did have an issue with one of the doors not properly shutting at the top. However, once I noticed a few days later & called them back, they immediately came out and corrected it. Would definitely recommend!

My invoice stated there should be four struts, but only two were installed--one at the top, one at the bottom, leaving the center unsupported. I contacted the company, and Chris, a partner, agreed that missing struts caused the crack in two panels. After discussions with the manufacturer, we settled on $300 for replacement panels, though I felt this was unfair given the original mistake. Despite this, I agreed and waited. After a month, I called back, spoke to the company president (who promised a callback), then a repairman returned and replaced the panels. When it came to pay, I was presented with an invoice for $400 instead of the agreed $300. The invoice listed $300 for parts and $100 for labor, though labor was never previously discussed with Chris. After some back-and-forth, I was told there would be no warranty on anything. I wrote a $300 check as promised. The repair person did quality work, but I was frustrated that I had to pay for correcting an original installation mistake. I expected the company to stand behind its work. They stand behind nothing and use unprofessional tactics to make you feel dirty every time they leave. Check the BBB rating.

I had a very mixed experience with Precision Garage Door Service of Jacksonville…read more On the service side, this was absolutely 5-star. My garage door would not close because one of the cables had come off the pulley, and they responded very quickly late on a Friday evening when I really needed help. The technician was extremely friendly, professional, communicative, and took the time to explain everything clearly. At no point did I feel pressured into making a decision, and I want to be very fair about that. He showed me that the grooves in my pulleys were almost gone, which made sense since they are more than 20 years old, and he also pointed out that the cables were starting to wear. He recommended replacing both pulleys and cables rather than simply putting the cable back on, especially since the same issue could easily happen again soon. He also noted that my rollers were wearing out, and when I asked about replacing those too, he even contacted his manager and got that price reduced. So to be clear, I was not forced into any of these repairs. I agreed to them because, given the age of the parts and the fact that my garage door would not close, it seemed like the most practical decision at the time. My frustration is with the total cost. I understand that emergency evening service comes at a premium, and I also understand that I made the final decision to approve the work. But after everything was done, I looked up the cost of the parts themselves -- the rollers, cables, and pulleys -- and found that they can be purchased for under $100 total. That was incredibly disappointing to discover after paying more than $1,200 for the work. I do not work on garage doors myself because I am very cautious about the springs and the tension involved, which is why I chose to call a professional. Since it was late on a Friday and my garage door would not close, I decided to move forward with the repairs rather than spend time researching costs. Afterward, when I looked up the price of the parts and saw how low they were, I was extremely disappointed and came away feeling like I had been charged far more than was reasonable, especially since technician completed the work was done in about 90 minutes. So overall, this review is two-sided: the technician and the service experience were excellent, and I truly appreciated the fast response and friendly professionalism. But I am very disappointed in the pricing, and that is what leaves a bad overall feeling for me.

The first contract was to install new wood, shingles and reinstall a skylight. That work created an additional leak which was patched but didn't fix the original leak. The second contract was a new spark arrestor which didn't fix the leak. The third contract was chimney stucco repair and paint chimney but that didn't fix the leak. After the chimney repair I was told there was a small hole in the AC duct above where it's leaking. I paid an AC repairman $148.99 to tell me it had nothing to do with the leak. There were numerous return visits for water tests, roofing cement, etc. They were unreliable. There was a least a dozen missed appointments - no show, no text and no phone call. Text messages weren't answered. I was told to call when it was leaking so someone could identify the specific location of the leak but when I received a call back hours later I was told they can't "just" send someone out when I call contradicting what I was told to do. In the last text 11-3-25 I was told I had to replace the reinstalled skylight without another water test. I wasn't told in 2021 the skylight should be replaced when I signed the first contract. Replacing the skylight may be another guess like the chimney work, AC duct and spark arrestor. On 11-3-25 I asked for an estimate for a new skylight and installation then received text "OK" but never received an estimate. As of the date of this posting, 2-2-26, the roof is leaking in the same spot on the ceiling in 2021. I don't recommend Stonebridge for any roofing work, stucco painting or stucco repair. I felt disrespected for five years and don't recommend Stonebridge to senior citizens.

I wish that the situation had been different. In general, there have been numerous issues that are not part of the standard construction process. It is difficult to determine whether the HOA, A&E firm, or Stonebridge are the source of the problem, or if all three are involved. Regrettably, I received five unresponsive emails from StoneBridge, which is why the rating is low. Had I received feedback and the support that was promised, I would have rated it higher, as I am not entirely certain that all of the issues are solely due to Stonebridge.
