On appointment day, the same receptionist needed to verify my insurance after we had done so the day prior on the phone. She called my insurance carrier and stated, in front of other patients, my insurance policy number, my date of birth and the fact that my coverage was "only $100". Again, she gave me and the other patrons waiting the feeling we were a real nuisance. VERY unprofessional staff. I'm pretty tolerant with poor customer service, but this was over the top. The manager excused the issue by saying the receptionist was having a bad day (at 9:00 a.m.) and offered a free eye exam. NO THANKS. Can't imagine trusting my eyesight to this outfit. Have to find another option.

The customer service phone line is horrible, scheduling manager actually lies to fit what's happening. If Dr. Roy wants more information about what's happening to his business overall rating with the public, he might want to talk to some of the customers... they're leaving! I've been going there for the same eye exams with two different doctors for many years and all of a sudden, no eyeglass prescription was done only Contacts... really? Now I need another appointment.! I had one on my phone, but she flat-out REFUSED to look at it, email it, etc. She wouldn't call to get confirmation of the prescription. NOTHING. She said she couldn't do anything at all and that my prescription had expired. This is a blatant lie. NYS does not have expiration dates on glasses only contacts. I have plenty of contacts. This kind of customer service is the reason the are a constant ghost town. I went on Zenni and got glasses for $50 with rush shipping.

We were never told when making the appointment for an eye exam that they did not take Medicare…read more(even though over the phone we gave them Medicare and also part C insurance coverage numbers). It was not until after the appointment we learned we had to pay the full cost for an eye exam that has always been covered using another provider. They said they told us they did not take Medicare but I KNOW they did not as we were both on the phone and remember the call well. BEWARE... our part C insurance will not cover the exam unless they are billed by Medicare. As seniors on a fixed income we are not happy and we are stuck with the bill. We will never return and will inform our senior friends. That's the only good that can come out of this... more knowledge. Lesson learned the hard way. If I could rate them zero I would.
