I can't say enough about the wonderful service and friendly staff at Lake Street Diamond!…read moreI had been wanting to upgrade my ring for a while, but did not know where to begin. Shivali and Sam made the design process a breeze. My original ring was a very detailed design that I wanted to match. They truly met the challenge of incorporating the new stone and creating a one of a kind piece. Shivali's design was a true work of art, that went beyond what I could have imagined. The level of detail and craftsmanship in the design they created left me speechless! The pricing at Lake Street for the stone I chose and the design work was far better than I found at any other competitor in the area. Highly recommend!

I am SO happy I chose to have my custom ring made here!…read more Initially, I discussed this project with another jeweler who was wildly overcharging me, so I decided to shop around. That's when I connected with Michelle at Seattle Diamond Company, and she completely exceeded every expectation. I reached out via email with my target budget. To be honest, while it was a fair budget, it was definitely ambitious--about half of what the previous jeweler had quoted me. Michelle replied the very same day, confident that we could bring the design to life within my number. My project was unique because I already had my center gemstone and needed two custom side diamonds along with a heavy gold mounting. Michelle took the time to hunt down an incredible deal on the side stones. I even offered to consider lab-grown diamonds to stay on budget, but Michelle insisted that for a custom heirloom piece, natural diamonds were the way to go. She sourced a stunning, bright pair of natural F-color, VS1 step-cut trapezoids that fit right into my budget. When it came to the CAD design and wax model, Michelle was wonderfully collaborative. I wanted to make a few tweaks to the stone angles and proportions, and instead of pushing back or rushing the build, she listened and agreed with my adjustments. I never felt pressured at any point in the process. When I came in to try on the wax model with the stones set in place, she walked me through the pros and cons of different metals. She managed to craft the entire setting in rich 18k yellow gold without blowing past my budget, never trying to push 14k just to pad their margins. She genuinely cared about making sure I ended up with a piece I loved. The final ring turned out far more gorgeous than I could have ever imagined (the photos speak for themselves)! Overall, Seattle Diamonds has pricing that is transparent and fair, and the craftsmanship and customer service are unmatched. There is not a single thing I would change about this entire experience. I will definitely be returning for any future jewelry projects. Thank you so much, Michelle!

I took in a wedding ring crown that has 5 diamonds on it since I had lost one of the diamonds. Upon bringing it in, Josh let me know they could fix it and was already bagging it up without even giving a quote. I then asked for a quote since I'd gotten one from the original maker of the ring. I had let him know the quote he gave which was $390-425 was higher than what they quoted. But ultimately decided I'd rather have it fixed locally than send it out since I didn't want to wait (which I voiced verbally). He took a closer look and said they could do it for $425. I said okay because after shipping costs, it would only be ~$40 more than sending it to the maker. He said okay, and that he'd pick out the diamond today and I'd have it back the following week. 2 full weeks went by before it was ready so I was already a bit annoyed since that was likely the same turn around if I mailed it to the maker! But then when I went to pick it up, the price was $595+tax. I asked why the price difference (and refreshed his memory on our convo at drop off) and he just said okay we can do it for $495. So not only did it take just as long, but in the end after tax I spent over $100 more than what I would have spent if I sent it to the maker.

Jamie is an incredible professional who is clearly passionate not just about his craft, but also in creating relationships with his clients and making sure their experience is second to none. He helped my husband and I take care of some estate jewelry after my father passed away and handled it in such a respectful and caring way as we navigated a tender time. We never once felt rushed or pressured. We were so impressed that I enlisted Jamie's help in repairing my engagement ring which had lost the stone and needed some rebuilding. He was so great at communicating and assisting in my search for a very particular stone while dispensing valuable advice at every turn. Jamie counseled me on the best way to go about the rebuild and I am absolutely in love with the final product. How lucky Seattle is to have such a wonderful jeweler. In addition, Jamie uses the business to give back and create change in the world for the better, which just makes choosing him for your jewelry needs a solid and lovely choice. Baraka Gems will be my only go-to for all jewelry needs in the future. Much gratitude, Jamie & Co.
