Jim Ferrell from Alabama Technical services is phenomenal. When I have a computer or tech related issue I call Jim and know he can fix whatever issue I am having. I have used him for years and hands down he is the only guy I need to call. He stared fixing my computer issues years ago before he started his current company when he lived in Washington. My years-old Windows 10 computer (small Dell Inspiron desktop) began displaying a blue screen at start-up, and after a good number of failed attempts to let Windows troubleshoot and fix the problem, I gave up and contacted North Alabama Technical Services. After a telephone discussion with Jim, the owner, I delivered the computer to him. His troubleshooting ruled out several likely sources of the problem, and he concluded that something on the motherboard was the probable source of the problem. He ordered a refurbished ultra-small Dell desktop from eBay, with twice the RAM of the original computer, and he installed a solid-state hard drive with ample capacity. The Internet download speed was very low at first. Jim deduced that the WiFi adapter was likely the problem. I ordered a $10 WiFi adapter from Amazon, and that fixed the download problem. This refurbished computer (Windows 10) runs faster than the original computer and is satisfactory in every way. Its small footprint is a blessing. During my interfaces with Jim it became obvious to me (a retired aerospace engineer) that he has expert knowledge about computer repair. I recommend him highly. read more
