We wanted him to tidy up our books, help change our filing status for our business and help with a transfer to QBO. But we were fed lines of crap on why he couldn't help. We switched firms for the 2025 tax season. When they were reviewing and prepping our books for taxes they found several things that should have been corrected a while ago and wondered why we were filing as an LLC and hadn't got a S Corp status. Well we were told we could only apply for S Corp status during a certain time, and we had missed it. Well come to find out that's not true. He could have saved our business a lot of money but he chose not to. Mr. Keeley has "offices"(he's not there and not staffed) in many states. He doesn't go the extra mile for his customers, he barely makes the block. He doesn't want to do your taxes if he doesn't do your books, but I didn't feel comfortable with that considering he never seemed to want to help or answer the phone. He's big on AI help, so that's who answers his phone. If I had a question I was given a very vague response as this was his way of persuading me to let him do the bookkeeping, basically saying I couldn't do it without him. My opinion you could get the same service using turbo tax and would be a hell of a lot cheaper. I would find someone who is more hands on and honest.

When I moved from CA to CO, I had to take on the daunting task of replacing my kickbutt business…read moreaccountant and a bookkeeper that was not doing the greatest job. And let me tell you, the search for a new one in Colorado was not a fun process. Most of the firms I reached out to (1) never responded, (2) were fully booked, or (3) were far from professional. Tricia and her team were a breath of fresh air -- responding to my inquiry quickly, jumping on a call with me right away to learn more about my needs and whether they could meet them, and creating a custom proposal based on what kind of assistance I was looking for. I've been working with the team since Jan 2019 and they have been an absolute delight. My bookkeeping is done in a timely manner, books are done correctly (finally!) and my complicated taxes were not as stressful as they could have been thanks to O'Connor & Co. Most importantly, I have a team who has their eye on the big picture and helps me strategize ways to improve finances and save on taxes...something I appreciate as a business owner. As an added bonus, Tricia and her team have actually made the process fun, something I would have never put on my list of must-have criteria. If you're searching for a great team to handle your business' bookkeeping and taxes, look no further. O'Connor & Co will exceed your expectations and provide a breath of fresh air in a rather tired industry that often forgets about customer experience.

I've worked with Tricia since she was in her office space uptown about 10 years ago. Here's what I…read morecan say: 1. She knows her stuff. If you have a tricky tax problem, she can help you. I fancy myself "smart" from time to time, and more than once I've researched Tricia's recommendations to make sure I was getting good advice. I've always been happy. 2. Knowledge does not come cheap. If you're looking for some CPA to do some data entry at tax time (basically, following the prompts from some piece of software like the clowns at the mall kiosks), move along. Tricia is not for you. If you're a small business owner trying to navigate a business entity classification + a marriage + a home sale + some investment tax issues + an interstate move - and do all of this via phone and email while you're traveling on your extended honeymoon - this is who you want. 3. Speaking of the IRS, Tricia is ethical, but she works to minimize your bill. I've never felt uneasy with anything, but I've also never felt like we left money on the table. In years passed, I've done the 'tax kiosk' thing and missed deductions/credits. Never again. 4. She's fun. I enjoy talking to her. She's got great energy, and she's passionate about her job. I admire that, considering I'm about as passionate about tax time as I am about dental surgery. So, there you have it. Happy customer since 2008, and Tricia is the only person I call when I need tax advice/help. NOTE: I see someone else reviewed Tricia and said she was expensive, and here's my counter: Saving a couple hundred bucks doesn't appeal to me when a mistake can cost thousands.

Put your cape on and get ready to fly to a place where there is the peace of mind, professionalism,…read moreefficiency and a friendly, positive, highly skilled team who are just damn good at what they do. As VP of Operations and Business Development for a successful digital marketing agency, I was looking to hire a STELLAR accounting and bookkeeping team, but one that wasn't in-house. The old-school business mindset tends to be that this particular team needs to be on-site, and frankly, after pushing out of my comfort zone and making the decision to bring on a cloud-based, highly skilled team (like Accountingprose), I have to say I will never go back and this is THE company to hire if you want to do it RIGHT. Tina Garza and her staff... are rock stars. Yes, I know, some people find it easy to say that about some companies they love, but honestly, this team really really hits the mark. The service, precision, skillful engagement and positive collaboration with the entire Accountingprose team have really been unmatched. They are resourceful, highly trained, willing to pivot, open to suggestions, are excellent collaborators and clear on their workflows. Not just that - they are POSITIVE, excited, energetic people who are thought leaders in this industry and really enjoy what they do. It shows and it's a fantastic team to work alongside. My experience with the Accountingprose team out of the gate was excellent. Really impressive. From their client onboarding protocols, transparency and openness to being vetted, their pricing schedules, credentials, reviews, insights and unwavering commitment to deeply helping small businesses sustain or establish order and calm within the entire scope of their financial world - all of these variables put Accountingprose in the top tier of this industry. Also, having moved through a full fiscal calendar year, tax prep cycles were also stellar. Clean. And. Tidy. The proof is in the package. Yep. Big fan. Because the proof is in the effectiveness of how this team works. For me, it started with going through the Xero HQ forums and credentialed Xero community - in a passionate effort to lay to rest the great archaic convoluted dinosaur of software known to some historians as "Quickbooks" (and ALL Intuit products for that matter, ugh) - this was a primary driving initiative for me to commence my search. I was looking for Xero experts and after vetting approximately 20 companies nationwide, Accountingprose was my choice and I haven't at ALL been disappointed. Accounting and bookkeeping doesn't have to be a nightmare. Honestly. Tina and her team chase all the Intuit Ghosts away, back to their evil lairs, back into the shadows of hellfire and confusion of sulphuric accounting sadness of where they should stay. :) I digress. Accountingprose dove right in and assisted the agency with not only a HUGE data migration project, but once all data had been synced up in Xero, the day-to-day management and reorganization of our account were excellent. Clear and fluid. Tina and her entire staff not only have a consummate understanding of the essence of what is needed from the accounting and bookkeeping standpoint for a range of business types and sizes but are cutting-edge and fully comprehend the ecosystem of software and platforms required for efficiency, automation, the fluidity of workflows and tidiness. Love, love, love this team of people and this company. Superheroes? Yes. Yes, indeed they are. #accountingprose #tinagarza #superheroes #accounting #bookkeeping #rockstars #xeroexperts #peaceofmind www.accountingprose.com

What a nightmare. I was with their "payroll service" for a month and never got paid it never processed correctly and I kept getting told "oh it should work now I fixed it". So I signed back up with PayChex who has never dropped the ball. My monthly financials were always late - by over a month. What a joke. Needless to say I went running back into the arms of my previous CPA. THEN of course, Miller & Associates now had access and changed all login credentials for all my state tax stuff. So I had no access to my accounts, I contacted Miller to find that those who had worked on my account were no longer there and the owner (Mike Miller) was claiming that he was not receiving password resets and did not have an email address associated with the payroll company....? That he owned? I had to spend 3 hours on hold with the state to re-set it and sure enough they verified that it was going to an address at his firm. Which I had point blank asked "do you own an email address ending in @bulldogpayroll" and he said "no, only @millerandassociates email addresses". And full on lied to me because he didn't want to deal with it. If I can prevent anyone from making the mistake of dealing with this joke of a company then I hope I save you some time and money.
