I stopped by this store on Tuesday night to get info and a quote for some 3 point attachments. Then I also went to the north 40 and tractor supply in coeur d'alene to check prices and see if they had more of a selection as they didn't have all I wanted at the store on Trent. North 40 in CDA was horrible. Guy wouldn't even walk me around to look at things and acted like he had no time for me. This took place on Wednesday. I got back home and had made my decision to buy everything I could from tractor supply beings the two north 40's didn't have all the things I needed and couldn't tell me if I could get a brake on all the attachments since I was buy 5. This was no problem with the folks at tractor supply and they where already cheaper than north40 on all the products. They said it's no problem since I'm spending a lot of money $2,859 to be exact. They would give me 5% on the total bill. Then I proceeded back to the north 40 on Trent to buy the only thing I couldn't get at tractor supply. A 6.5 ft disk harrow that I was told on Tuesday was $1,599. I took a picture of the tag on Tuesday night. Tonight only 48 hours later the exact attachment went up $50 on Wednesday. I asked if they would sell it to me for the original price. The manager Joe I think his name was said no can do. Corporate will call me yelling at me if I drop it. After a few minutes of me not being very happy and telling him this review was coming he said he could split the difference with me. I told him I don't want to get him in trouble and the damage had already been done. I had to buy the attachments from him because no place else had it in stock at the time. I could see if this was a new attachments but it was the same exact one I looked at on Tuesday. It's not like I was asking for a discount. To make things worse he said if I had a print out he could do something. I showed him the picture again with a time stamp on my phone. He said that wasn't good enough. I'm sad that this was the case and I have to take my future business elsewhere. On the plus side I love Tractor supply and their customer service. read more

North 40 has just about everything! I have gone there many times to get something I know they have, like dog food or muck boots for one of my kids. They are my GO-TO place for serious gloves for heavy-duty outdoors work. I would give this store a full five star review if the webpage was useful for online ordering of goods and current stock of items that may go quickly such as day old chicks during the spring. If you own a home with any outdoor space this store is the one stop destination for any house, ranch or farm. I by no means own a ranch or farm. I am the half acre residential house with 6 backyard chickens and a large garden. The garden selection is vast and they have a wide selection of supplies needed for everyday life. They've got work gear, rain gear and industrial farm supply. The employees are helpful and I enjoy shopping in this location. read more

Customer service at this location is TERRIBLE. I went in a few weeks ago to get some steel toed Danner boots. The lady who was helping could offer no Solution, Or a way to come up with a different Idea. When I stated I would just get my size and order from Danner direct, she got really defensive and kind of acted stand off-ish. I'm Sorry but I'm NOT going to pay a bigger charge just to get a pair of boots you want to sell me. I Won't be coming back to your store ever again for any product. read more

Dispite the elusive and trite name changes throughout the decades these stores continue to be owned and managed by the ---- brothers out of Great Falls, MT. Always known for their complete lack of customer service and shoddy merchandise, North 40 never the less attempts through mass marketting to convince the suburban hobby farmer they are a true resource. In fact North 40 (Big R, etc) is nothing more than a low class cowgirl boutique with 75% of their sales floor dedicated to "western/farm" fashion. Try returning a defective piece of Carhart clothing and see just what kind of down home hospitality they deliver. Forget it, once they have your buck the ruse is over. Uniquely suited to the "I can"t afford Cabellas crowd", North 40 sets new lows in quasi department store B.S.. You get what you pay for? Well not here, in this case a whole lot less. read more

I purchased two very expensive horse feeders upon getting home 3/4 mile I noticed one had the plastic tub cracked all the way across. I called the store within 30 minuets of purchase and was told ( here is the manufactures phone you can pay and buy one from them we will not warrenntee the item!!!! I had a bad tast after that but in a pinch purchased a Dewalt diesel heater from the North side store over 400.00. After about 40 hrs. Usage it nearly burnt my garage down when the burner deflector melted and blew super heated metal into a pile of paper. I the went to the store as it was still under Warrantee and after looking up my purchase agreed it was within the time promptly told me to call the manufacture that they would not honor the Warrantee again this made two times. Dewalt sent a replacement after several calls and weeks time. Stupid me needed a chain saw to cut a few branches on trees @ a home I sold so I bought a Poulan from them. It died the first hr. Again I was told they could send it to a repair guy and he would get it repaired within 2-3 weeks. I would no longer need the saw as the house is sold needing the limb removal and closed in 2 weeks! Anyone who patronizes these people should know all items are AS IS you bought it you got it. They have sold me thousands of dollars of defective junk. Be carefull what you buy here. There is no such thing as customer service . PS let's not forget who sells bailed up weeds for alphalfa @ high prices every year. read more
