As others have said, maybe kind of tricky to find the first time (5th floor of the Foreign Club Parking structure and no markings in the front), but the best thing is... drive your car to the 5th floor and there is massive and secure parking for this place. As sucky as finding parking in TJ is, its pretty cool that you can basically park right up to the door of Norte Brewing (at least on a Tuesday afternoon - dont know how full the parking structure gets on other evenings) We had their Penthouse IPA and a porter on nitro. Really first class beers - both of them. Tap Tuesday $40 pesos a beer (less than $2.25 each). Fantastic price. Plus free pretzels. And of course the view is spectacular. Norte Brewing should be a must stop on any TJ craft beer trip. read more

The Tijuana brewing scene is starting to take off. This little place is tucked away inside of a parking garage!! It's a cool little spot that the owners did a great job renovating from its previous incarnation as a strip club (yes, there is still room for a pole). Because it's really high up in the parking garage, you get some great views of the Tijuana Arch which is directly in front of the bar. There are lots of places along the wall to get the view, and it's probably better to see at night. As for the beer, excellent brews. They have the normal variety of lager, IPA, stouts, etc. The brewer started making his own beer as a hobby (familiar story) but decided to start selling it just before he bought El Norte Brewing. The crowd at the bar was young and chill, things weren't too loud and crazy. They don't really serve food. Ok, they have some frozen wings that they'll microwave for you, but only because they are legally required to serve SOME food. But they are nothing to write home about. This is definitely a place to go for a cold, craft brew in Tijuana. read more

My friend and I came to El Norte to reacquaint her with TJ after over 15 years. She was so impressed to see such a cool spot right off Revo. Her cloudy college memories of TJ were replaced with clear, smooth pours of craft brews and crisp, gorgeous views of La Mera Tijuana! I was proud to show her that, as with most artisan crafts, Mexicanos take their art to a lovelier, higher quality expression. El Norte's beers are delightful. Even the darker brews (which we usually shy away from) had a cleaner, truer flavor than the often over-sweet versions of chocolate stouts we have had in California. We had 2 flights that included samples of each of their beers. Every one was a hit. My favorite was Escort, a fresh & flirty blonde ale, & hers was 4 Play, a session IPA. The atmosphere was fantastic. You wouldn't guess you had come up to this oasis from an old parking structure. We ended up chatting with a super cute couple at the next table, laughing and sharing stories as we all toasted to great times thanks for El Norte's delicious beers. Norte brewery is one of my favorite spots when planning on having a night of fun in tj, because I'm not a huge clubbing person. It's difficult to find for sure but it's worth the hunt. Super small, very hidden brewery that has an amazing view at night. There is a large variety of brews lights to darks. Eat before you go cause they do not have a food menu but they do give you pretzel snacks. And they will allow you to get food delivered to you if that's what you prefer. Buckle up ladies and gentlemen, because in the next few lines of text, you will read my unbiased, caffeine fueled attempt at translating one of the greatest Craft Beer experiences that you could have in Tijuana! Finding the place is quite simple, yet their location gives it a great intimate/underground vibe. Located at the 5th floor of Foreign Club, 4th street, while this place lacks any ad visible to the street it's no-brainer. If you struggled to find the place though, it will all make sense and be worth it once you walk through their doors. Greatest view in town (at least for local craft breweries), you can get quite a good glimpse of the northern part of the city and it points North so you can see some of the border, super comfortable bar stools, the place is always spotless, it's never too crowded and even the aroma is great, you can feel the malt and hoppyness in the air just to get a preface of the greatness you're about to witness! Now let me tell you about the most interesting thing there is, of course: The beer. Norte Brewing Co. isn't shy about crafting many different styles, from a light, malty Blonde Ale, to roasty Oatmeal Stouts and Robust porters, their Penthouse IPA has quite a distinctive spiciness and the bitterness is right on the spot, or you could go for their Session IPA with a lower alcohol level if you're a fan of hoppy beers and feel like you'd like to have a citric, lighter, thirst-quenching beer. Definitely a challenge to find this place, but it is worth the adventure. Don't expect to see any signage, just look for the tall parking structure that is recessed back a little bit from the street. I was surprised that the same elevator to access my car was elevator that takes you to this brewery! Press "5" and walk out to cool views and great beer! Was crowded and needs ventilation but otherwise it was fun. I tried the Bordello and it turns out it won awards, I know why. It was so good that I came back and bought a growler full of it. This is our favorite place to go when we visit Tijuana. Its has great views and a nice selection of beers to choose from. I love their T-shirts but they never have my partners size every time we go :( ****Please restock plenty of men's size large ****) It's worth going if you're looking for a chill place to enjoy. It takes a bit of effort to find this hidden downtown treasure. You can either drive or walk to the top (fifth) level of the Foreign Club Parking structure. The views are expansive and face northward toward the massive flag and arch. There is ample seating, though it didn't matter as we were the only guests at the time. The brewery does take credit cards, and pints work out to a hair under $3 after conversion. The bartender explained that the venue used to be a strip club, and many of the beer names reflect that history. read more

I was really excited to come here for my first time. When the day came, me and couple of my family came and walked in, we were not greeted at all. The bartender was talking to a couple and when we walked in they turned and looked at us up and down(awkward) my sister did tell him why are you staring at us like that, the guy right away changed his face to a better face not rude and asked what we wanted. I love this place. Once you find it, it is well worth it. It is next to the Caliente Casino right off the Calle Revolucion. If you're walking in TJ- Walk down a kind of alley past a really good taco stand and then find the elevator on parking structure to the 5th floor. (Pick up food at the taco stand because there is not any food served at Norte) I brew my own beers and live in a place with tons of good beer options and I would put the beers against any of them. Pedro was excellent. He explained each beer and introduced me to one of the brewers who explained their process and the hops used. The view of TJ is not going to make any travel magazines but was still a great way to enjoy a brew on a sunny day. Definitely worth stopping by before being subjected to the wait to get across the border. read more
